My Kia 18 Sportage started consuming about a quart of oil every 3000-4,000 MI after 50k miles. The Kia dealership says that's pretty good for oil consumption on these motors. I do not recommend you do the 7500 mi. I recommend you change your oil every 5000 mi minimum. And check your oil every 3000 me and top her up. I did change the PCV valve at 80,000 MI and the valve still moved little bit but not as good as the new one did. It definitely helped a little better with the oil consumption but definitely not the best. On the other hand I have a Kia soul 2018 at 35k and has not consumed one bit of oil.
Sorento those the same. I had an engine failed, even tho I was changing oil every 3 months. My advice every 2 weeks check your oil if your car has 50k and up
I have 60k no issues. Full synthetic at every 5k. Easy reminder on the odometer. Buy hundai oem online same filter
Also drain and fill Tranmission fluid@ 35k . Buy 4 qts. Drain in measure and put exactly what came out of did. This way you don’t mess with the overflow.
Is the GDI engine model that's burning the oil. I had a 2017 Kia Sorento and the engine going out on me due to this problem and Kia refused to replace it. And from what the dealers are telling me thousands of people are having the same issue and Kia is refusing to do anything about it. They say they sent out a recall notice and if you missed it. They know about this problem so beware you'll be stuck with a car notes and a vehicle you can't drive.
Kia andHyundai are complete toilets. Just had to get rid of my 2020 palisade burning a quart per 1000. Ran out of oil twice
Don’t ever go to 7500
3rd?? I'm at 26k and I just got my 7th oil change done

Bought a 22 Nov of 21. It's got about 48,000 miles. Never had issues. Extremely reliable SUV for me

Use Motorkote it will seal those rings somewhat
6 months or 5000 miles change the oil with mobil 1 full synthetic.. Forget what the owners manual or someone else tells you.

changed my 2023 at 7k miles and it was 1 quart low. only has 13k miles total
Why not 5w-30 like it says on the oil cap?
75000 miles? No way. I use full synthetic and 5000 miles. Oil is cheap, cars are not.
Hows it holding up?
We have a 2020 Telluride with 70000 and it’s burning 1 qt per 1000..garbage
I would change my oil with full synthetic every 5000 miles no matter what car or make brand
