What I do now is unlock the door using the key. That works 75% of the time.
When it gets stuck I find can open it by jiggling the key and pulling
randomly on the door handle for 10 seconds or so. Eventually it goes sort
of “clunk” and opens. Right now I just don’t want to spend too much money
on this car. I had to replace the A/C compressor because the bearing was
worn and I worried it would sieze and break the serpentine belt. There is a
sticky ventilation valve that means I don’t seem to…
…get much air from the vents. I have an intermittent lambda sensor
problem I am ignoring. And I had a minor gearbox oil pipe leak that I had
fixed. The car does not seem such good value now as when I bought it. One
problem is that it’s rare so finding information is hard and parts seem
expensive. I do find it a nice drive, though.
I’ve been having the same problem & I wish more people knew about this
