Just ordered these from the store, I thought they'd be a direct replacement. Once I heard superglue and saw the cutting of bracket I want to return them right away.

Clinton Schmidt says:

I used hot glue to hold mine in place. Only time will tell if the cured hot glue will hold up to extreme temperatures. But for me hot glue seemed better than super glue. Looking back on it I would've used something like loctite extreme glue. Also I tapped into the interior light fuse. The lights come on when you unlock the doors and go off when lock the doors. They also go off after about 10 minutes or so once the car goes to sleep if you forget to lock your doors.

damn, it looks so nice.
does this effect your warrenty?

Tim Morales has a good idea his post is just a few below mine. Simply super gluing it seems kind of cheap especially if you live in a hot humid climate like I do in Naples Florida I have a feeling it would break overtime

JRocha Beats says:

Trying to understand the purpose of the grinding/cutting if they aren't being slid into spot. I'm considering trying to return these as there is a slight gap when put in place. Wasnt expecting that at all when they were purchased. Since there was mention of cutting the tabs, I thought that these vents would actually overlap the dash panel creating a sort of bezel, but they do not.

J Monette says:

Yeah I don’t think a factory vent bracket is “junk” when superglue is used instead….

player1diao says:

wow thats some low tier tuning. u'd better use some plastic melted into the old panel rather than superglue

devan3873 says:

Just curious but the only ground your achieving is the screw.. you connected it to plastic .Feels like a bad ground choice correct?

W G says:

If I purchase these, do I need to install them in your Kia stinger? I’d prefer to install them in mine.

Luis Hernandez says:

This would be really cool, if they were jst regular kia stinger light up vents, instead of jst looking exactly like Mercedes vents.
