Do I have to do all this to replace a wheel stud in a Kia Spectra 2003? Thank you
nice video thank you!
Should have illustrated torque values when re-assembled! Maybe a few lighted close-ups. Other than that, great video!
Ive worked on cars all my life, just finished the timing belt & water pump on my 04 sedona but dont have a press to do this install. the corner shop told me $120 bucks so I thought that was a great price. took it to them.
Yea thats a real mech. Job. Dam, cha Ching but worth it. Thanks for the details, well done video.
and on most front wheel drive cars bearing has an snap ring to make sure the bearing dont slide out the hub. needs to remove it first before pressing the old hub and bearing assembly out.
Did mine in the 02 Sedona. Ended up paying $87 to have a shop press the bearing in, other then that it straight forward work.
Hey there! Nice video, You mention removing the snap ring retaining the bearing, The one i’m doing right now has a “blind” ring with no ears for a typical snap ring tool. have you ever run into one of those?
first video I found that actually showed someting of value all the rest show how to install an new spindle with bearing attached, “okay take out the bolts what help is that and pop in the new spindle bearing assembly”. This video was very useful unlike many others.
*can afford one. Not can’t
I know the hydraulic press is easier but wouldn’t it make sense to use manual press tools seeing how I doubt most DIY’ers can’t afford one?
This is one of the purposes of these videos, to show how to do it right if you have the ability to do so, and if not, show you that its time to take it to a shop.
FORGET IT,JA,JA,JA, I GO TO THE DEALER O MECHANIC SHOP.
TOO MANY THINGS TO SAFE A LITTLE MONEY
Perfect timing – just what I needed to see. I need to replace the same bearing on my 04 Sedona and this proved it’s no job for a backyard mechanic! Better take it to the shop.
No problem, and there’s more to come…
dude thank you for showing this
