So looks like the inside part of the cover is still on the part that you pop the cover on to. Can't get it off. Does this mean I'm going to have to replace the entire mechanism? OR any suggestions on how to get it off? It's only a hard plastic right?
Is this process the same for the 2012 kia sorento? Mine broke the exact same way.

so how do you get the broken piece out of the door so you can replace with the new one? (talking about the small piece to the right of the handle itself. Mine broke just like yours)
my handle is the driver side door. so the lock prevents me from doing it how it's described in the video
How do you replace the door handle cover (the piece on the right side) once you get the new one? The replacement piece I see on Ebay looks like it has a threaded portion that matches up with the metal piece that's sticking out. Is it just a pressure fit on there?
This has nothing to do with "replacing" the door handle, only "repairing" the old one. Very disappointing, should change title IMO.
