Les Lim says:

For the sake of science, please thumbs down @3wheeler016’s comment. There
is NO reason not to put a battery on cement.

MrZmang1995 says:

I hope next week he will tell us how to crank our cars 🙂

toasterder says:

@toasterder (continued) as such, you require more positive potential to
pull electrons from the ground, than negative potential to discharge into
the ground, happening with the last electrode handled, which is what
potentially happens when your body closes the circuit with the last
terminal handled with the ground. (Risk increases with wet hands).
Regardless, the risk is low (like discharging a weak static charge as a
complete circuit is not established). Look up the whys on positive lightning

mrcharlesbro says:

Thank you! Helped me quite a lot!

VibrantWhite says:

Thats a J Hook.

Limonoriginal says:

beginner question: why doesn’t it spark when you touch it with a wrench? i
though if you touch the battery with metal it sparks or does this only
happen when you touch the positive and negative?

mnk007 says:

@3wheeler016 you obviously just believe everything someone tells you, why
would this even be true at all?

c2themothafingb says:

wow thanks this is good thanks

erimek says:

Not positive, but I’m pretty sure the current from the battery goes from
Negative to positive. So I guess you might get shocked or something if you
went for the positive one first.

MtnXfreeride says:

@timsb2004, cant you just do it in reverse to put a new one in?

Michael Block says:

Count on battery hold downs to be different on all cars. I don’t know why
he ackowledged that the locator clip is specific to the car model but
seemed to stay with the impression that every application will have a
J-hook type hold down bracket.

Dan Soto says:

ya woow good job explaining things

littleelvisofMA says:

I thought if you replace the battery on some cars the engine computer can
get messed up. is that true?

jfefrey says:

this is a j hook, it looks like a j

Troy Branch says:

My battery does not have a j hook… Its held in place by a zip tie and
previously by a shoe string.

creativemindmm says:

what are j-hooks again? 😛

CRF250ALLDAY says:

my car does not have a nut to loosen

davelister2005 says:

For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where to put the j-hooks. Thanks a
MILLION. Five stars!

Stephen King says:

QUESTION…. You know that hole that the j-hook lives in, do dwarfs live in
there too??

imkjd says:

thanm you bery much!

Maren Hansen says:

wow Youtube…I’m in a bit of a hurry trying to change my battery and the
dumb advertisement in the beginning really slows thing down…thanks!!!
thanks a lot!!!

goidfiog says:

@VISIONStudios7 Then you’ll open a wormhole into an unknow possibly evil
dimension!

iris wigle says:

Whoa!?! What u need is a nice back rub! Take a deep breath – count to 10 or
100 whatever works for u. Remember it is just the dyslexia gene that is
speaking. Forgive him Lord. Jesus understands. This is an excellent example
of what Adam & Eve handed down to mankind….imperfection & God…I don’t
no how to replace a battery. Myself? I haven’t figured it out yet. My
soninlaw took the battery away so I don’t know the original set up. So, the
red end goes with the red cable rite?

SeanoMcCastle says:

“This is a J-Hook. It looks like a J” BEST LINE EVER HAHA

andymrowley says:

great, now the car has no battery!

katydidmail says:

Thanks for a good review! This video is the only one that mentions which
battery post to take off first (negative) and put on first (positive).
Would be nice to explain why.

ferrari1292 says:

the j hook lives in a hole right here

smolVAD says:

Be sure to observe the following order of work! Failure to comply with the
correct sequence can lead to triggering squib disconnector batteries and
electrical damage to the car. If the terminal of the battery mounted on the
positive findings closely enough: – Disconnect the negative cable
first-hand, from the negative terminal of the battery. – Then disconnect
the positive cable-needle-positive terminals of the battery.

chee tows says:

i dont know why, but i thought that was hilarious

crono916 says:

9 people took the negative battery cable off last.

Dwayne Brown says:

why should i take the negative off first and put it on last?

cc10121492 says:

Why didn’t he get electrocuted when he touched the battery terminals…

iJOJ0 says:

I wasnt born yesterday thank you!

KSIFLYBOY says:
