This guy isn’t serious right?
….someone tell me this guy isn’t serious?

George Gill says:

@ELITELIMITCOM yeah I like your videos on installs i could watch them all
day see how different things work on different cars different ways but i
was thinking about doing it the wet way like you said and then maybe using
a hair dryer to lightly go over it with warm air do you think that would
help? or make it worse? my stang doesnt have any really major curves that
the stripes have to go over it just looks like a pain in the rear to do the
whole car

George Gill says:

@ELITELIMITCOM thats long distance i dont have a cellphone

George Gill says:

@ELITELIMITCOM the stripes were a nightmare! it took me 3 hours for the
hood because of the hood scoop i tried the first stripe screwed it all up
so i pulled it off and re did it and it still has air bubbles in and the
rest of the stripe around it is stuck so well that i cant get the bubbles
out i cant get the front bumper because of the huge dip in it for a license
plate but on the bright side the roof looks amazing theres no air bubbles
or anything i messed with my soap mixture

George Gill says:

hey ive seen alot of your videos or installs and i just bought a set of
stripes for my mustang, i never applied decals to a car before it doesnt
look too hard but is there anything i should watch out for? is it okay to
squeegee the decal itself? and it is about 50 degrees outside and my car is
in our garage which is in the shade about the same temperature am i able to
put the stripes on like that? or wait for a warmer day? im anxious to get
it done and see what it looks like!

EliteLimit.com says:

@countryboyG thank you for watching. Best temp for great install is like
70-75 degrees. If you can get your garage to 70, that would be best. Yes
you can squeegee without top tape, just be gentle. too hard and you’ll
leave scratch lines. do wet app method, don’t get the paper backing wet my
brother. not having a top tape layer actually helps the vinyl conform
better. I like not having a top tape layer especially when I have to do big
long stripes like rally stripe jobs. BEST LUCK!!

EliteLimit.com says:

@ELITELIMITCOM watch my other install video of the T3 silver hood stripe on
a blue truck. will show corners peeling up cause its drying from the hot
sun and what to do. other then heating it a little to help it dry and
letting it sit before peeling the top tape layer off, a time frame is hard
to say. it depends on how soapy the solution was when it was mixed
together. and the temp and how much solution was squeegeed out when
squeegeing it.

George Gill says:

@ELITELIMITCOM my parents would kill me if anyone called at this time they
are both sleeping and have to get up at 3 in the morning but lets make it
simple, i know to clean the car, water/soap the car peel off the decal from
the paper, lay the decal in place, (already have my masking tape lines set
up) squeegee the decal really well till all water is out then should i dry
it? or peel the backing off then dry it?

George Gill says:

@ELITELIMITCOM sorry to keep bothering you with questions i just really
want this to be perfect! when i use the hair dryer should i do it with the
back on? or off? and when i apply the decal it has pin striping in it so i
cant take the backing off before but when i do take it off how long should
i wait? about an hour? and then the hair dryer? or hair dryer then the top
tape?

EliteLimit.com says:

@countryboyG I will I have someone who wants some, I’m sure I’ll do that
video install within a couple months. Thanks again GOOD LUCK BRO!!!!

EliteLimit.com says:

@ELITELIMITCOM one more thing, do not go drive the vehicle after you’ve
installed the stripes. just because it may seem like they are all on there,
there will still be soapy solution in there and you might blow the vinyl
right off the vehicle if you try driving down the road too fast. so you
might want to let it sit for a couple days or if anything avoid driving
faster then like 45 mph or going on the highway speeds for a couple days.
sit the car in the sun for a day if you can

George Gill says:

@ELITELIMITCOM alright thank you! you helped alot ill do my best and
hopefully it turns out pretty cool, you should make a video on rally
stripes! 😀

EliteLimit.com says:

@countryboyG do you have a top app tape layer on top of the decal? if you
do then leave it on, especially since you have pinstripes. the top tape
keeps it all lined up. clean car, then spray car with sopay solution, peel
paper backing off (don’t get that part wet) then lay vinyl on car, line it
up to where you want it, squeegee down. leave top tape on then use heat if
necessary. corners will want to peel up cause of heat, squeegee down.
definitely let it sit and dry. continued….

EliteLimit.com says:

@countryboyG then message me your number I’ll call you

EliteLimit.com says:

@countryboyG yes a hair dryer will totally help bro. most shops when doing
the jobs will use a heatgun to speed up the drying process. Just don’t heat
it up too hot. Heat also act as an adhesive relaxer for when one wants to
remove vinyl as well. It also helps to evaporate the solution during a wet
install as well. but you don’t want to really heat it up when installing.
but you do want to really heat it up when removing. Hopefully that helps ya
too. And thanks again bro!!

EliteLimit.com says:

@countryboyG hey call me bro 904 435 4648 .. too much to type. you can call
now

EliteLimit.com says:

@ELITELIMITCOM after you’ve squeegeed it good and heated it. try peeling
the top tape layer off from one corner. if it is coming off too easy you
want to squeegee more and let it sit longer. best installs aren’t done fast
in my opinion. none of my videos did I try and do a job fast. patience and
time to dry make for a great install. hope all that helps a lil more bro.
if you need to, drop your number and I’ll call ya and help ya if I can.
