Hey do you need to remove the cam shaft from the head if you're just doing the head gasket? Seems like it would save lots of time from putting that back together….?!?

I have the same car but I'm having a rough idle problem. Like when it's on drive and I'm at a red light or a stop sign it idles a bit strong and it gets worst with AC on. I clean the throttle and the idle air control valve but nothing's changed. Would it happen to be something else?
