Yep. Me and my dad are overhauling the front suspension when we realized oil was leaking from where the engine and transmission meet. We think it's the rear main seal.
What's worse is the cause is probably bad main bearings
Hey Dude, EVERY CAR has to have the transmission removed to REPLACE the rear engine crankshaft seal,…..Every Car !!!! DUH !
Most car parts are cheap. Labor costs are 90% of the price of most car repairs.
I've owned quite a few Chevys so I've gotten pretty comfortable with just adding oil every couple days until the transmission eventually needs to be replaced
