I did not disconnect the battery but I was really careful not to let the hot lead touch anything metal. 😉
did uhave to disconnect the battery or anything while you were installing it??

Sorry i didn’t make it clear as to what color wires went where. I used a volt meter to figure out which wires were the hot, ignition and ground. I then powered it up.. and then just connected the similar wires (each set going to a specific speaker) and was able to figure out which set went to the speaker i wanted. Hope that helps.
I have the same situation, with same car and same Dual , so i couldnt figure out from your video, which colours you connected?
any aftermarket stereo is not meant for a specific car, that is why mounting kits and harnesses are sold, but you can search for a wiring diagram and do a direct wiring, which might void any remaining warranty on the car,
on amazon it says that xml8150 will work with my car which is a 1997 Nissan 200sx. do you think i will need to modify my bracket if it compatible?
