My dad bought a ‘12 grand Cherokee, loaded. At 70k miles it needed electrical work. Dealer said it’ll be around $12k. Needs an entire chassis harness, and ecu etc. dad called a lawyer, found out there was a recall on some sensor and owed nothing. Lost a month of time because the jeep was in the dealership that long. I’ll still take a zj or wj any day!
They have enough electrical problems from the factory ( especially older ones) then add in half a $$ed aftermarket jobs is just a disaster waiting to happen. There are some good after market trailer connectors out there. They are vehicle specific and have connector that interfaces with stock wiring harness connectors. ( no splicing, just plug it in). Only additional work maybe an additional ground.
It was probably a toad. Towed behind a motor home. They used this to plug in to the trailer plug on the motor home. It can be impossible to just tap into the vehicles wiring harness to make the tail lights function. I just use magnetic lights.
Welcome to the world of jeeps
So you blame Jeep while showing us what some wingnut did to the electrical system.
It's CHEEP NOT JEEP

Engineers do great job screwing things up. Shouldn't help them
This looks janky but it is literally the way trailer hookups were done before manufacturers wised up
Instead of "just do it" like Nike it's "just enormous electric problems" jeep!

These new jeeps are no good ⬇️,after they sold out to fiat jeep went downhill

How did this jeep turn into an English car?
Something tells me with that sort of craftsmanship that the stalling issue has very little to do with it being a jeep, actually.
Just Enough Essential Parts.. JEEP
Even though that mechanic that rigged, the wires was an idiot, Jeeps suck
If it’s a Jeep, it must be the T.I.P.M……….
My dog can do a better wiring job than that with his eyes closed !
jenormous emotional electrical problem = JEEP
Buy a Bronce!!
That thing was flat towed behind an rv or something
Junk each every part
