Tim Watkins says:

I see you lowered it back down for storage. I was thinking of leaving it
raised throughout the summer with the freedom tops and some light sleds.
Then use it to store some plastic, kids summer toys during the winter. Do
you think this Hoist would do the job?

grenademagnet09 says:

block and tackle would work just as well

kilymat says:

you could remove the metal platform no ?

Thomas Peters says:

The piece needed is included in the Racor box, it is a very well made, well
thought out product.

Thomas Peters says:

The idea was to make something to support the doors and roof panels then
have the hardtop over them to protect the doors. The dimensions ended up
being 48 inch by 48 inch by 48 inch. Turns out, I wanted to make it the
biggest I could and save on 2X4 waste. That drove the dimensions. It has 2
inch casters to allow it to roll. I am fairly happy with it. It does take
up space when not in use which is OK for us. I can email more pics if
needed. Happy Jeeping

Michael Harpe says:

How do you keep your garage that clean??

rackwebscom says:

Great video. Nice to see this in action.

ibasleestak says:

Awesome job. I like the door storage rack, how did you make it?

MrGordonGartrelle says:

This is a fantastic video. Thanks a lot.

curtisakalefty says:

cool, been think of this for awhile!!! i have a cheap wench,k going to make
my own design, and build it in the back bed room in bus conversion

Thomas Peters says:

Just put the top on start to finish in 19 min 43 sec, next time will be
faster, I bolted the top down before pulling the rachet straps out and the
hook did not fit thru, so I needed to separate the rachet strap to pull the
hook end out.

Thomas Peters says:

@ibasleestak The assembly the Racor Storage rack is easy, just follow the
enclosed directions. A cordless drill makes the installation easier since I
piloted all hole.

Thomas Peters says:

Yes you could remove the platform, but I find it helps hold the straps and
it doubles as what it’s real purpose was storage. I am very pleased with
their product. Thank you, have a great day.

Kobus Reyneke says:

What did you use to hook the drill up to the winch? Came with the Racor?

Charles Yauck says:

Im pretty sure its just easier to get two guys to just lift it. Takes about
2 min only.

Thomas Peters says:

5000 sq ft out building

Thomas Peters says:

Yes it is very secure hanging there, but with 2 kids I like the doors to be
protected too. With my rack, I can put a tarp over the whole thing and keep
it in the corner away from the bikes.

ibasleestak says:

what are the dimensions of the box you built to hold your doors

Jeff MacDowell says:

How did you convert the “hook tool” that lowers and raises platform to use
with your drill? Did you just hack saw off the handle? Great video. Thanks.
