What’s the block that holds the turn signal lever? I think mine is broken

@budtcogm says:

Great video remember to leave clip on shaft on metal screwed on it is easier to put on and take off
🙂

@pcontiman says:

Bet diy yj channel! Do you have to remove key lock ? Does the turn signal lever not have to come out? Are those little ball bearings just sitting in there ? Looks like a pain but at least you make it doable… Thanks

@RyanJordanrwj says:

What's the tool called you use after removing steering wheel and pulling lock ring?

@stevesmith5031 says:

Good teacher

I have a y j with air do you do it the same way the heater core and blower

@jeeperscreepers251 says:

Anyone know which wires are the turn signal wires? 95 YJ

@jfisher2370 says:

Chuck – you're the best brother. Followed this step by step – had to replace mine because brake lights on my 94 YJ quit working – 3rd brake light was working & all other lights too. It was driving me crazy trying to diagnose until some on a FB YJ page clued me in – the rear brake lights are routed through steering column turn signal switch! – Fixed – brake lights again! – Thank you !

Just bought my first YJ yesterday, 89 Islander with a 4.2 from a Cherokee. This is a phenomenal video. I haven't worked on a Jeep in well over 10 years, so your videos are gonna be god send. Blinkers work right now, but moving the blinker handle is very stiff and feels like it's gonna break. I also don't have bright lights. My dims work, but not the brights. Does this process have anything to do with the headlights?

@conradsenior5843 says:

thanks you are a real asset to the Jeep Community

@novotnynick says:

I have a 94 YJ with a tilt column and my turn signals don’t cancel after the turn and the wipers don’t engage (new turn signal lever just spins inside the column so I’m assuming the plastic piece that engages the wiper motor is worn out)

Now does the turn signal switch have the wiper motor switch in it as 1? Or do I need a wiper motor switch AND a turn signal switch?

@jimhoffman1271 says:

thanks for the video. Taking it apart was easy but your video helped me put it back correctly and its works. Jeep on.

@leesabriggs4229 says:

Thanks for the help.But I know you make it look easy. I lost turn signals and cruise. And don't know how to deal with that.Some due hickey wire or a lever thingy is wrong.1994 jeep Cherokee???

@ajmontgomery4564 says:

sweet, was looking for just this!!! quick ? for ya tho, would an issue with this cause other lighting issues? sometimes my rear drivers side tailiight wont work at all until i slightly move signal lever up a lil bit

@jedhatcher252 says:

I broke my turn signal cancel cam……. The metal piece only stays in and the spring isnt doing anything. any ideas to use for a spring?????

@garrettroznowski4119 says:

Would it be a shame if it clipped and spliced those wires I'm fairly experienced with electrical but wondering if a cut them near the clip if they will just slide out with the switch

@jedhatcher252 says:

what is that black thing under the dash that flashes red??? cut that off?

@JeepAndThings says:

Thank you! Our 94 4 banger YJ needed the multi wiper switch replaced. Tried to replaced from the top. Impossible. removing the steering column was easy thanks to your video. Screws in the inside pointing up held the parts together. Only way to get to it was to remove the steering column $163 switch at Oriles. The first switch we got $100, but didn't fit. There are 3 switches for the year. Of course the one I need is the most expense.. sigh.

@BSN-nq5cm says:
