My Jeep on the backside broke all the way through i was told it would cost around 2-3 thousand to get a entire new frame, i don’t have that kind of money so I took it to a metal welder he looked it and told me it would cost almost one thousand to get one side fixed. the person who had it before me didn’t take care of it

IDK what chrysler’s problem was between 1998-2003, but it seems every truck and van frame would be rusted out when the vehicle hits 9 years or more. I have a 2000 ram van here in Michigan (they use a lot of salt on our roads) and the front of the frame has rusted through, enough to affect my steering. I am debating getting the frame fixed or just getting a new truck and undercoating the hell out of it.
