Mar Gudmundsson says:

unless you live in a cold country where the winter is icy. you wont be able
to steer in ice if the front has the locker cos it will be locked most of
the time

andrew lillard says:

Great video man! Just ordered a lock right for my front end, gonna do it
soon. Can’t wait to have my front locked! 😀

Locos Tacos says:

Thats a nice jeep man too bad im broke and cant get lockers for my jeep or
my friend are broke to have a nice garage like that haha

easydoz1 says:

E-Locker is what I’m going with… Worth the price because I hate the noise
lunch box lockers make. Cheers!

jkcrawlers says:

Did you put the rotor guards back on?

Mar Gudmundsson says:

This is a very nice video and everything explained nicely

mustangwarrior46 says:

install

KenpachiZarakiX says:

R Dunlap says:

Hortgeek says:

Dealership. Be prepared to wait.

andrassy888 says:

Brilliant thanks, enjoyed that very much can we get those things in the UK?

Derek H says:

Is your front end full time 4×4, or do you have hubs you can turn out ? I
am changing out my stock dana 35 rear with a newer dana 44 out of a 2006
rubicon with e-lockers. I would like to do the same with the front, but its
getting too expensive. your way looks the easyest and cheapest. I have no
hubs to turn out in the front. If yours is the same, does it make a
clicking sound during normal pavement driving?

green98peon says:

Nice video. I tend to swear more when I work on my Jeep. Are there no shims
on the front carrier or you just didnt show that part?

grandbigred95 says:

just wanted to say thanks this video made my lockrite locker install in my
dana 30 on my 96 xj go some smooth man cheers!!!!!!!!!!

ryanpm92 says:

What type of Impact gun were you using?

Christopher Anderson says:

@muenich Holding up perfectly. No metal on the magnetic dip stick yet! Best
mod EVER. Duuno why they don’t come from the factory with this. NO noise at
all. Remember, in 2WD, it is invisible. And in 4WH/L I still can’t hear a
thing.

59catmando says:

How does this locker actuate?

mlsargent51 says:

Why does the ring gear have to go back in the same exact position that it
came off?

Pirate Jeep Productions says:

Great video, you’ve been running it for two and a half years now, locker
holding up well??

00tjdriver says:

axle was a little dirty huh. lol

MrJustinjeepcobra says:

it all depends on what you wanta do.. Is it a daily driver, Is it a weekend
warrior. Lots of factors.. Also what vehicle. A locker in a short wheelbase
like tj, compared to a Cherokee handels total diff’ on the pavement. I have
one up front my Cherokee, its not pleasent for daily driving. no way to
disengage the wheels from spinning everything. hard braking w/0 abs will
cause all kinds of noise esp driving in snow, also wears tires more IME.
Best setup do a manual hub kit. or just get a ECTED.

Hortgeek says:

@The1930sRust Great help this video was. The install took me a long time
but most of the time was spent tracking down the tools I needed. Thanks so
much fro putting this video up. It helped immensely. Thanks again. Subbed.

Jeremy quiring says:

this is the big question can i install the same locker for the back? is it
the same diff?

VERMONT JEEPGIRL says:

Great Video! We installed an Aussie in my rear Dana 35 last winter. Love
it!!

59catmando says:

Ok I see what you mean.

Jay O'Rourke says:

Hey are you near paris,tn thats were I am from . Give me a shout back . Get
to gather and trail ride.

luftwafa12 says:

is it noisy???? on road

Christopher Anderson says:

With the Aussie up front, in a Wrangler, you can ONLY tell it is there when
4H/L is engaged. Otherwise it is INVISIBLE.

villian loudness says:

Gaday:D Cool accent there lad!

peterkn131 says:

this should work exactly the same for a yj right? its the same dana 30

muenich says:

Thanks for the reply and comments. I have my new gears 5.13s and Aussie
locker in hand and ready for the project. Your video was very
inspirational. Thanks again

NiftyTan says:

awesome jeep man i have one very similar to yours, same year and look .
have fun man with your jeep because i am

dylansrockinrigs says:

Why the front?

FUNKieMONKey55 says:

“should slip right out my ass” HAHAHAHA

Hortgeek says:

@peterkn131 I just finished the install on my 95 yj. It is the same
install. I used this video for reference.

traileaderProduction says:

Front auto locker is better than a rear auto locker you cant feel it in 2wd
and still have plenty of control in 4wd also in a jeep tj all the weight is
in the front it pulls more than pushes so the front works better trust me
this front locker and a open rear on my jeep has gone as far as people with
front and rear arb lockers

Christopher Anderson says:

@urtwern Holding up perfectly. No need to redo the backlash. Pull axles,
remove carrier, install, done!

Shaun Holthaus says:

for an axle swap you should look into a rear 44 from a rodeo/passport. they
measure the same width(I didn’t even have to move spring perches on my yj)
an already come with disc brakes and ebrake. only problem being the lug
pattern but i solved that with a waggoneer front 44. supposedly you can
just swap axle shafts to change the lug pattern on the rear 44 and match
the 5 on 4.5 pattern of the dana 30. rodeo/passport axles can be had cheap
and are really plentiful in almost any parts yard

Christopher Anderson says:

It depends on how thick the ring gear is. If it impedes the removal of the
pinion shaft, the carrier must be removed so the ring can be taken off.
Now, I was simply following directions from 4x4xplor. Come to think of it,
I am not sure I even checked before popping the carrier out. But I can
imagine it would be much more difficult trying to install the Aussie with
the carrier in place. Driving pins out and messing with the springs.
Popping the whole thing wasn’t that bad…YMMV!

kens97sto171 says:

Does this make much noise on the street. I am looking at getting one on a
Grand Cherokee. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
