Jeep with Weak AC? Blend Door Repair the Right Way!

Jeep with Weak AC? Blend Door Repair the Right Way!

In this video I show how to replace blend doors, install a new blower, as well as a new resistor. I go over important details to problems that this model has. This video will help you solve problems with weak airflow from the vents. This should cover a wide range of jeeps, but 1999-2004 in particular.

All you have to do to get the code screen to go away is hit the ac and recirc button again

Ted, great video. So how can I tell if my fan is spinning the right way? I just installed a new fan because mine was making noise and the air flow is weak. There was a dead mouse in it too. Anyway, still weak airflow, but the various levels of low to high work and heat vs. A/C work, so I am trying to troubleshoot my next step. I think if it was the resistor it would not be going low to high without any issue?

Where did you get the stereo face to fit that radio

A shop will charge $1500 for this work.

Anyone know what codes 22. 46. 48 52 and 56 relate to?

Do you know why it blows cold air on the rear feet?? Also low flow from all floor vents

Thank you for this video. Solved questions I had after removing my dash and trying to decipher which kit I could get when it was already removed. Replaced the blower too upon seeing this. Excellent job.

Hey. My passenger blender door actuator just broke. I just drilled pulled the motor and drilled a small hole in it and screwed in a hook so when riding with my wife, I can flip it to hot since it is winter. Once the car shuts off it falls back down and goes to cold. Anyway I'm debating on cutting a hole in it or doing it the correct way like you did. How many hours did it take you to pull the dash off? Do you think this is something that could complete on a Saturday? How many tabs on your dash broke while pulling it apart? Do you have a special tools? Mine is a 2007 Grand Cherokee and if I go through that work I will replace both blender doors and the blower probably along with that resistor pack.
