i’m not sure i haven’t burnt that bridge yet but i will be dealing with it in a few months

Justus Perry says:

Sorry to bother you again about my Jeep, but a quick question about the front ujoints. Is there any better parts to replace the dual ujoint shit that comes out of the tcase? Also, is a SYE only for the rear half of the drivetrain?

idarkie1 says:

Hey, i just got done installing banks torque tube headers on my jeep 4.0 I6 2004 wrangler with the engine inside the jeep. I have done it and if anyone has questions on how to install. Message me i may be able to help

Bullshitkorner says:

that’s cool man, i give you big thumbs up on doing this job. installing the headers with the engine in the truck must have been a huge challenge in itself. I did it the easy way while doing a engine swap it was the perfect time to install it while out of the engine. hooking up the headers was a pain in the ass as well hopefully i’ll never have to remove them. I can agree with your comment on putting a bullet in it, that crossed my mind many times while building this jeep but it worked out

Justus Perry says:

… that it wasn’t going as smoothly as it should and up the cost to $500+ on this shit. With that being said, I paid around $100 for bay fees and maybe $20 for other random shit like pen oil and such. Was it worth doing it myself? Fuck yeah. I don’t want to steal your thunder or DDTJ’s thunder and add more shit to it that I thought, but if there’s some people that want to know about some of my issues I had, reply on here, I’ll respond with it along with BS’s consent since it’s his video.

Justus Perry says:

Did it make it more of a pain in the ass? Fuck yeah, I do believe so. I do have AC, but I did not have to remove it. The power steering on the other hand was a must. Besides your video and advice on some of it along with dailydrivenTJ(website) write up on it, I probably would have just put a bullet in this motherfucker while it was on the lift. Every shop in the area quoted me about the same for labor to START with, which was around $370. Not to mention they’d fuck off and get pissed…

Justus Perry says:

Alright BS, I’ll finish this one up with a reply to it if this character shit limits me. I got my exhaust on finally, Banks TT headers, Magnaflow front/rear cats, Banks Monster exhaust. Since the exhaust was part of that exhaust/intake/tuner bundle, I did those as well, although the tuner isn’t a constant thing. The removal of everything was a pain in the ass. Your 10″ finger comment was spot on. Especially with re-installing the headers/intake. I also did this with the engine still in.

bumsmodified98xj says:

I went with the Banks revolver for my 98xj its a masterpiece I love it and it changed my exhaust note I couldn’t be any more happier, Banks just don’t put his name on something and just put it out there he backs his products up and puts them out there because they do exactly what he states!

Bullshitkorner says:

the Banks brand came in a set which included the headers, exhaust, cold air intake and tuner it was cheaper than trying to buy everything separate and pay shipping on it

Polarisman1991 says:

How much money did you put into the jeep motor?? Love the videos man lol

Polarisman1991 says:

Why do you chose the banks brand for bolt ons??? Is it better to keep all the performance mods from the same company or does it not really matter??? Last how

Bullshitkorner says:

look up my video p0135 troubleshooting a heater circuit and you can see in that video how the headers connect to the down pipe

Justus Perry says:

Actually, it tells me you’re in Canada, don’t want to get phone bills going nuts. But if you can figure out a way to get a picture up somehow, let me know what’s good.

Justus Perry says:

You by chance able to get a pic posted up of what you’re talking about from the headers>cat converters>exhaust? I’ll PM my number if you have it on your phone by chance. Just trying to get as much on this as I can. Also, are the converters aftermarket or the regular Jeep/Chrysler tubes?

Bullshitkorner says:

ah the banks headers actually bolt up directly to the exhaust with the cat convertors, and then bolts directly to the monster exhaust. complete plug and play with no mods at all

Justus Perry says:

Now that I’ve gone and seen a few more videos and such, what are you going to use to connect the headers on down? I’ve been trying to find a company that has I guess it would be a down pipe, but I can’t find shit.

Bullshitkorner says:

I used to do that in some of the earlier videos, I only show wrenching when it comes to awkward parts you need to get at to make it easier.

Justus Perry says:

Some of the tips you were giving were great, but you didn’t show any wrench turning. Not saying that you turning a wrench will different than any of us, but seeing the actual installation would have been 1,000 times more informative than going from part not being on to next scene, parts on. I’m fairly new to owning a Jeep and completely new to working/modifying one and any info helps, but more info is well, more helpful, even if it is turning a wrench.

Tmstar5 says:

yea i kinda figured that out today thanks for respnding

homerunhita12 says:

wild fuckin hair

Bullshitkorner says:

the intake and the headers use the same bolts, it’s kind of a shitty set up

Tmstar5 says:

how do you take off the intake to get to the headers? trying to replace header on my jeep but that long silver part guessing its the intake is in the way?

Bullshitkorner says:

that i don’t couldn’t give you a 100 percent answer it would bolt up to the engine for sure, it may not line up with your exhaust though. that is a simple fix though by doing some mods to the exhaust to make it work

Cameron Swift says:

do you think this header would fit on my 2004 WJ 4.0? the application says 99-01 grand cherokee but it looks EXACTLY the same

Bullshitkorner says:

ya im pulling my engine out though the front as well removed the whole front end, still fighting with getting it out maybe this weekend. I went with banks headers so are double welded and suppose to not crack but we will see. Have lots to do on the jeep including putting a 4 inch suspension lift

aky19832001 says:

Well I figured out, If I dismantle the engine into pieces. I may have a better chance.. I have to change the radiator, so I went ahead and decided to do the entire system as well. Water pump, hoses including the tranny and AC. My best route was to take apart the entire front end. It took less than 20 minutes. I get the headers and realize it was incredibly rusty with small airline cracks. Might as well do it now, no sense in saving it.

Bullshitkorner says:

ya I’m thinking it won’t be a fun install with the motor in the vehicle

aky19832001 says:

Awesome video. I’m going to need to change my headers soon. I have a 2003 4.0L. Subscribed to your channel.

teperechitop says:

you are doing a good job bro keep it up loving the videos!!!

Bullshitkorner says:

I am a Industrial mechanic, a Millwright by trade I started a youtube channel just over a year ago because I was sick and tired of people in forums not knowing how to do things so i decided every time i do a project i was going to make a video and upload. If it helps people great, if people have to add to it that can make it better or easier than great it’s all about helping people

Are you a mechanic for a living or what do you do?
