Thought my key was bad, walked up a hill 2 miles to get my spare. Didn’t

mine was the same way , I just tried this although I didn’t have a rubber
mallet , I took a block size piece of a 2 by 8 and a regular claw hammer
……. had to hit it about 8 times then it broke loose !! thanks for
posting ….

This really does work! saved me $400 at repair shop for new ignition
switch. I also lubed it up good with WD 40 first and it does take about
four whacks with the hammer.
