Ok let me preface by saying this is a all you need kit but you will need to do wiring. I have a 2 Door 2015 Willys Wrangler (with no sub) and I did not have a "white and tan" wire going to the tailgate harness. I had a white with a violet striped wire, witch I cut and spliced into the white and violet striped wire out of the taillight harness. Then it worked. Hope this helps.
Could you just leave the license plate wire back in the hole and leave it…and just cap the hole…
I followed this video and now I'm fighting with a dead Jeep. I used quick splices to connect my white/tan wire to my white/purple wire. I feel like something's drawing power away.
What a horrible (and illegal) way to do wiring.
At 15:24 Is there a specific reason why you wired the Black to White? Or will it work either way?

I need a third brake light. I live in NY. This video didn't show you how to keep your third brake light.
What size plugs are covering the existing holes and do they come with the kits
What about 3rd brake light?
What about spare tire?
Would it hurt to leave the third brake light functional and just tie into it? The results being 2 third brake lights?
