Joe Diaco says:

I’m actually looking for the trim ring cover that you removed! Where can I find that? Is it a stock wrangler part?

Scott Lilly says:

I bought one from Amazon this past week. They had a returned red one for $2.22. Doesn’t match my red paint so I Sprayed it with black bed liner. Can’t believe I got it so cheap. No cracks or dents.

Joe Loverso says:

Lol rubbing alcohol does not dry out rubber it actually softens it and the higher percentage evaporates so you don’t have to worry about it staying on the silicone

Greg says:

They have locking ones now with the gasket included.

thom z says:

if you mess up the o-ring it will put on the engine light its so annoying

Do you have a left on your truck?

Great video, was much better than the paper instructions that came with it. No tabs or anyhting on my new cover and 4 really tough tabs on the original. Also my replacement cover came with a new gasket.

Thanks! Definitely helped.

Biggest problem was the o-ring, had trouble getting my gas cap to lock. Thanks for the tip about the pins!

Salty Fenrir says:

Thanks man, be careful when you install these, of you get the gasket to not sit right and you'll get a check engine light. It's the evaporation s leak sensor, but it scared the hell out of me at first.

Mark Schiro says:

silcon spray on the rubber seal works great to slid it over the gas spout

BigWill_Okie_1941 _ says:

Very nice! I appreciate your humor, it kept me entertained through out the video.

Jerome-David DARMON says:

15mn after watching your video, geat job but take care about the 2 top and bottom screws if you dedide (like me)to remove the cover before installing, my scew fall inside the body and very hard to reach it, screw the 2 first before installing the cover

Sohil Maredia says:

Tried installing the ring after it's too hard this process is so much easier and faster thanks man for the video

Best of the gas cover install videos!!

Scott Mcclaskey says:

Marjorie Shingle says:

Mine doesn't have a pin. Will that be a problem? Will it rotate, or will clips keep it in place?

p123 A says:

Is water able to leak behind the cover and the body where there is no seal?

TreesOnTheBeach says:

WD40 does wonders for snapping the gas cap connector on.
