Lol I’m hooked on this song. Who is it? I got this on repeat as I’m working
on mine

matt cochran says:

@dunay21 no, u are fine. 4.0s are the best engines jeep ever made and the
transmission and transfer case are very good too. that 2000 will last for
many many years. the powertrain and drivetrain at least

Dylan K says:

did you do a t-case drop? i don’t understand how to do it at all… i just
got a 94 cherokee and want to put a rubicon express 3.5 superflex lift on it

Jonny Racer says:

I feel it is necessary to let you know that is Not Jeep music! ever thought
of just explaining what you are doing in the video?? (without music)

BmxDieseldude says:

@Balowin you mean with you, brat.

Griff says:

how is the quality of the lift? I’m planning on lifting my XJ 4.5″ and I
was looking at Rough Country (kit comes with UCAs and LCAs with heim
joints, Full packs, trac bar, etc.) and it’s only 850ish bucks. But if I
can find something of better quality that is cheaper I would get that

i DoNT NEED SUBS JuST VEiWs says:

@drwitt69 ZJ lifts are EASY to do.. on an XJ the rear Leaf’s can be Really
hard to deal with. so for a 96 zj. you will need rear coil’s and front
coil’s . id check to see what size lift ur after.. for the coil’s. then
with that you will need to upgrade. swaybar mount’s and drop ur pitman arm
if it’s over a 4 inch lift. Then possibly might need a Slip Yoke Elimanator
installed for ur drive line’s.it can be a one man job. but i would start
with getting kit’s that come with all of what you need

Jeepper Jeep says:

nice… beautiful modification

Matt Tallia says:

what size jackstands did you use?

lacrosseman706 says:

hahaha..man its not hard to do…its actually easy…they should come with
detailed instructions too..if you know anything about cars/tools you will
be fine

chirsis says:

what’s the name of that song?

Balowin says:

wish my Dad would do this kinda stuff for me… my Dad sux ass.. fuckin
drunk…

tpawlowskis says:

i feel ya bro, i cant drag my dads ass out of bed most of the time let
alone get him under a car with me. drunk people.. god.

350vroom says:

not supposed to use an impact on spring compressors. dont really need to
use the spring compressor anyway. just unbolt the controll arms and the
suspension will droop enough to put the spring on. nice video though. jeeps
lookin pretty good!

TheBadBaron says:

all I can say is KARMA lol, I just hope things get better for ya!

rccrawler94 says:

did you just replace the spring and shock or did you put the longer control
arms on it too ?

350cutlassrocket says:

Great job! Just curious, did your rear shock bolts break off? The two
Cheorkees that I have had and my friends all broke off. I just got another
Cherokee and am dreading doing the back because I am sure they are going to
break.

Timothy Mlak says:

for all of you who cant afford a good set of coilspring compressors; all
you need to do is remove the tierod from the axel, remove brakelines,
remove the tracbar, remove the LCA, and disconnect the swaybar. your axel
should go down to full drop and you will be able to easily put the coil in.
you should replace most of these anyways when you’re doing a lift.

ShitStainProductions says:

im attempting to do it myself with little to no knowlege of suspension and
tools lol i’m in trouble

Keoni Sitar says:

Where did you get your kit at?

Alex Robichaud says:

did ya have to sye or does she work fine with the 4 inch? thinking on
getting either a 3 or 4 inch in a couple weeks and worried about drive
shaft problems…

Nigel4400 says:

Hey looks like a lot of good fun!!! I got a question: I just got my lift
shipped in (rough country 6.5 inch) and will need a spring commpressor, or
will the axle move enough to just slide it in??

C.R. DANHOF says:

@Balowin dude that sucks my friends dad is like that. i hope things get
better for you.

C.R. DANHOF says:

@AmericanJeeper Hey I’m looking to buy a Cherokee, I test drove it too. I’m
going to do 4 wheelin and commuting does it ruin the ride comfort when you
lift it like that.? Thanks.

80TRIUMPH08 says:

i have and older jeep cherokee and dont plan on doing to much off roading
but i love the look of a lift, should i just get the spring spacers or what
ever their called or go for a body/suspension lift?

tanobrat says:

music doesn’t match the video.

jskwibble1 says:

better quality? try any company other than RC. you get what you pay for and
RC is garbage. rubicon express has some good deals going right now on
4wheelparts

TheXJthatCould says:

god i hate those rims >.< snowflake looking things idk what the company was thinking when they put those on....but nice lift man!

whatroads4x4 says:

i wish i read into more when i did my lift ,got a rough country 4 inch
lift, and i got a tell you that nut on the track bar, heim joint side keeps
coming loose, not to mention i got death wobble, which i gotta fix soon.

Mike Maxwell says:

WOW… i cant beleive they didnt throw in a set of Lower Control arms…
your LCA angle is pretty harsh, i would invest in some adjustable lower
control arms, you will double your droop by installing some better lower
control arms the IR-SHDCA model number in particular. also because your at
4 inches it wouldnt hurt to get their double sheer track bar too. just
tryin to help out a fellow jeeper, i had a 4″ lift on my jeep and it flexed
very well

Alex Robichaud says:

did you need to go with the sye kit too? i’m thinking on lifting my xj more
(only 2 inches now) but hear alot of rear drive shaft and u joint problems
with a 4 inch unless you go sye… and there a pain for a 8.25

sslother says:

at 3:35 what is that piece called so i can order one

persons233 says:

hey, i have a similar cherokee like yours, i mean like the air intake….do
you think there is a cold air intake for my 95 cherokee????????

John Benson says:

Worst “How To” on the tube!! Thumbs DOWN!

Dave Baxendale says:

I’m thinking of getting one of these 4″ lifts for an XJ, how did you find
the kit? Did you experience any vibrations from the drive shaft? And more
importantly being in the UK did it kick Land / Range Rover butt :). Nice
vids by the way.

Videoguy1991 says:

do they make a suspension lift kit for a 2wd wj??

AllAlaskan907 says:

@Balowin Wish my dad was still alive to help me when I was a kid to do this
kind of stuff. A bit harder when no ones there for ya hu 🙁 You know what
though, life goes on. What dont kill ya, makes ya stronger 😀

xboxisbetta says:

Hey, What kit did you choose? Price? im looking into this but im not sure
on a few things.

Matt Tallia says:

nice jeep but man you need bigger tires.

Mike artel says:

Yah thats a bad how to vid lmao

xJEEPXJ says:

it will help alot but well worth the price, if you dont, it will put alot
of stress on the output shaft of the transfer case will cause the seals to
fail leaking fluid everywhere. trust me it happened!

80TRIUMPH08 says:

what special tools were nedded?

curtis hibbs says:

get a case of beer and say help me or its all mine lol

AmericanJeeper says:

Hi @bill4483, Yes, I did this every time when I go to off roading. Have
nice time plaing off road. Kris

Eric Cherokee says:

with 2 inches of lift not really would it look better? hell yeah

UBBERTANKER says:

did you have fun with the rear upper shock bolts and leaf bolts lol I know
i sure did

denraweb says:

I had a 4″ lift on my xj cherokee, and I didnt install a sye, but I
recommend it. I had vibrations at the freeway, but if you do more city
driving, or just some crawling on the weekends, its not required…

ChainerX says:

Looks like you steering is backwards compared to mine. Must be a right hand
drive.

josemoto10 says:

what about the track bar?
