Installing Balljoint Deletes On Cassie's LS Swapped Jeep Wrangler!

Ball Joint Delete Kits: https://americanironoffroad.com/
Most Jeep owners are fully aware of how much Balljoints can be a pain! With our larger tires, and heavy offroad use, the factory balljoints are just not up to the task and fail quickly. Even aftermarket balljoints have a hard time staying tight and reliable.. Its mostly due to the fact that the Balljoint design itself leaves a lot of room for improvement.
Some of you may be familiar with Balljoint Deletes, and some may have never heard of them!
Head over to American Iron Offroads website for more info, and to see all the axles they produce kits for. Or, check out the facebook page to see real world reviews, questions, testimonials, and feel free to ask any questions you would like! https://www.facebook.com/groups/americanironbjds/about/
Balljoint Deletes are not much harder to install compared to a typical balljoint job. But either way, its not a quick simple job… And its nice to know that we wont have to do this job over and over compared to a typical ball joint replacement.
In a way, these are kind of like a hybrid kingpin setup.. Some of you are familiar with a kingpin and know that they are very reliable and strong, some people refuse to own an axle that has balljoints! With this setup, we replace the tapered ball joint with the ball in socket design and swap over to a Spherical Rod Bearing setup that sits in a machined cup housing with a through bolt.

In this video, we show you how to install a set of balljoint deletes into a Jeep Wrangler Dana 30/44 axle. The process to install them is the same across all the years of the early Jeeps up till 2018. The Wrangler JL and JT have a different install, but its very similar.

If you never want to worry about pressing in balljoints again, and your looking for one of the strongest, tightest setups, then these are for you!

@joerouth6255 says:

@Foof50 says:

LOL Misuse of BJs

@TheTurbogixxer says:

Can you guys do an update video on the ball joint delete and how they're holding up?

@DIYMechanic1 says:

Did the lift actually bend the lower links of the 4 link? Maybe it's an optical illusion, but they sure look crooked right where the lift pads are against them. probably better to lift by the frame.

Great vid as alway. I bought the Teraflex adjustable balljoints about a yr and a half ago and already having issues keeping them tight(they're adjustable) think im about to pull the trigger on these….

@redman1964 says:

Most mechanics I've spoken to, say that bj deletes are insane. The vehicle was never designed to have the wheels mounted like that and need regular ball joints!

@westcoast3595 says:

BJ delete just get married.

@Rubicon14 says:

Never heard of ball joint deletes!!! I just ordered teraflex hd ball joints for about the same price. Well I’ll see how they hold up and once they take a shit I’m gonna get these

@wlttz says:

Hey Ben, I’ve been watching your show for a long time now and I’ve learned alot Thankyou. If you ever want a Jeep to work on for one of your shows I would drop mine off with you because I can’t figure it out and I’m about done with it. It’s a 2012 MW3 version and I love it but it never has steered properly!! P.S i live close ish I think

@Thexkidd says:

So no special tools or ball joint press cups?

@hikerJohn says:

Never replace ball joints again . . . Haha. I'm 68 years old and I'm replacing them on my Jeep Wrangler TJ at 130K miles and I've never had to replace ball joints on a truck before in my life and I doubt I will ever do it again. If these had been greased properly for the life of them I might not be replacing them now. Ive done a lot of wheel bearings though. Ive never seen these delete kits or I might have at least looked into them first. They LOOK like ball joints

@mrm4155 says:

Just get married…good one lol

@isaacwilliamson759 says:

How do alignments work with the ball joint deletes?

@ericcervantes663 says:

Lift the jeep higher it hurting my back. Seeing yall hunch

@ariera9873 says:

Very informative. Tip: click on 'tools' symbol in upper right corner and adjust playback speed to max (1.75x) . You will save minutes of your life to put towards doing the job. Didn't have any problems following instruction & doesn't sound like a chipmunk. Good luck!

@travissmith1599 says:

Alright mine must be crap bc my jeep is all over the road. Had to turn abs+esc off completely just to even drive without cleaning the ditches out. Can't make major correction without potential unintended lane changes. Any ideas

@markmacdonald6452 says:

Nice Jeep, I regret selling my JL. Just changed ball joints in my JK Rubicon, looks like a good product.
