I'm old enough to remember when Chrysler made reliable, solid transmissions. Torque Flite, with the pushbutton controls. That ended somewhere around the eighties, when they cheapened them up and went to electronic controls. Or tried to.
I hate transmissions now, and my next car won't have one. Or an engine, for that matter.

I remember in the early 80s Jeep made a pickup called the Golden Eagle
what's the payload carrying capacity of those things, last time i checked its small like 600 pounds or something?
