This is much beyond a DIY project.
Craftsman tools come on guy your instailing a 800$ kit with tools that
would snap and strip if we tryed to do it why not snap on ?

Yep… I put a proper lift on my truck this time, and it rides sooo much
better.
Well apparently the craftsman tools didn’t snap or strip… So where is the
issue?
Torsion key lifting is terrible. It screws up all the front end angles and
causes a terrible ride

I’ve never done any auto work but I need a truck that can haul a trailer.
Do you think I’d be able to lift a GMC on my own? I’m trying to figure out
which truck to buy that I can work on myself (don’t have much money to be
sending it to mechanics)
dont put a spacer lift in a jk if you plan to off road they can slip and
the coil springs will come out i would just get a full suspension system
including new coils and new springs

Torsion lift with blocks is only stupid if you’re lifting higher than 3″.
Anything more than 3″ is going to really stress your ball joints and drive
like garbage. Any lift 3″ or less is fine for a Torsion and block lift. I
know plenty of people with a 2-3″ Torsion/Block lift just to fit 35″ tires.
They have been running that way for many miles and years without hearing
complaints about it. That’s only because GM will even tell you anything 3″
or less is still within factory and safety standards.

have you guys already did the spring over on the Cj5?
Speaking from experience, that is the worst way you can lift one of these
trucks. It ruins the ball joints and makes it ride like crap. I ran mine
like this for 50K and I now have to spend over 1300 dollars to rebuild the
front end. On top of all that, it makes your CV axles wear out fast too.
