Brian Hinesley says:

can i replace just the bulb and not the housing?

2011s197 says:

thank you, been trying to replace mine, i had the grill off and made a
mess, thanks for the video

1A Auto Parts says:

FYI It is a T20 Torx driver, I was mistakenly calling it a “T2”

MIMissingsomething says:

Thanks very much. Very well done. Jim D

1A Auto Parts says:

@Ninesvnsicks You may want to check to see if the back of the main beam on
your 93-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee are broke, or if it’s the header panel that
the headlights attach to that is broke. There are plastic tabs that the
headlights push onto on the adjusters, if those are broke it would make the
headlight flop around too. Hope this helps you out.

cool

1A Auto Parts says:

@ikkons92 We’ll keep this in mind if we need to do this on another Jeep
Grand Cherokee. To change the bulb you could do one of two things, you
could remove the main beam as the video shows, or you should be able to
access the bulb from inside the engine bay. You may need to remove the
battery to be able to access one of them however. Hope this helps you out.

ikkons92 says:

Can you do a video on how to replace the light bulb on this model please?

Dylon Adams says:

Hey you guys should make a video on how to replace headliner for this jeep
grand cherokee 93-98

1A Auto Parts says:

@DJSQUILL I believe the proper name of it is a J-Clip. If you bought new
headlights from us too. They should be on there. Hope this helps.

Myra Bausley says:

I need to replace my driver side headlight and all the lights around it, my
problem is the frame behind it is also broken….do u have any videos on
replacing that also? I was thinking of going to a pick n pull to get em….

TheInsane350 says:

I found it hard to reach the lower screw on the side light. After taking
out just the top screw there was however enough room for me to pull the
main light out. Great video!

marineBYgod08 says:

After taking the lights off, the leveling screw (or whatever it is called
that extends when tightened to hold light in place) is stuck on a setting
that does not allow it to extend far enough to even catch onto the light so
it just kinda dangles there and makes the headlight look cross eyed. I
noticed where the screw comes out in the rear of the light fixture there is
a little wiggle room, but not enough to remove the screws that hold the
leveler in place and lift to take completely out. Ideas?

1A Auto Parts says:

@mrhozer We sell the 1996-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee header panel for almost
half of that price with FREE SHIPPING. Here’s a link to them in case
someone’s in a bind.

Brian Cassidy says:

Great video, thanks for the info. So much easier to do our own work with
information from the internet. Cheers.

1A Auto Parts says:

No they’re a fused piece. The headlight lenses degrade over time, if you
buff them out it typically only lasts for about 6 months before they cloud
up again. We carry brand new headlights on our website 1aauto.com with free
shipping for your Jeep Grand Cherokee. 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

Not on this vehicle, The video shows the easiest method to remove them.

Dustin Mark says:

Yes, this would be a welcome addition. I am sure that many people would
like to replace their headliner.

1A Auto Parts says:

@cosmo144 Thanks for the compliment, unfortunately I do not have a video on
the vac motor line.

Jerry moctezuma says:

So to take the main headlight out you have to pull pretty roughly?

Dwq47 says:

Oh okay, thanks…that sucks. I buffed out and cleaned the outside of it
but oxidation took place in the inside as well.

1A Auto Parts says:

It should click right onto the bulb fairly easily. At 2:00 mark on the
video we show you how to remove the harness from the bulb.

mrhozer says:

@MeteGuebo No…For the drivers side you have easy access the the bulb from
inside the engine bay. For the passenger side you have to remove the
battery and you have access. Taking the headlights off is absolutely last
resort, they are a huge pain to get back in place and every time you do it
you risk breaking something. The header panel (that the lights mount on to)
is $200 just for the part without labor. There is a plastic ring you must
twist off to remove the bulb, bulb size is 9004.

testsubject29 says:

Actually, I have a bulb and need to get it into the left front headlight on
a 95 JGCL, I’ve done this once before and I remember fiddling with the
locking tab for an hour or so before I finally just got lucky and had the
damn thing click into place properly. Now I am at it again. Can you tell me
what is the trick to this horrible locking tab? I dont have the hand
strength maybe to press it forward into the light assembly enough to get it
to click. The rubber washer on the new bulb is fat.

1A Auto Parts says:

You just have to tug at it a little bit.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the lights to make sure that they are seated properly
on these screws.

Chris Hurt says:

I wasn’t as ginger with my side marker lamp removal. I have purchased the
clear lights with Euro style marker and turn signal lenses to match. Oh and
by the way, not every Jeep has a torx head screw holding the side marker
in. Mine was simply a phillips head.

jake fahq says:

Could you do a video on how to remove the grille on this jeep?

Lin day says:

that would be a great video!! i want to change mine too, but kind of afraid
of tearing stuff up.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to compare the new headlight to the mounting on the old, and
see if the mounting points are intact and that the light hasn’t been
damaged somehow.
