How did you make the halos turn on?
going to try your install video as a guide. One question. did you have to
install a power relay harness? Does the jeep grand cherokee have a TIPM?
8,000
@BryceBetch The high beam light is the inner most bulb, nit the HID, if
that’s what your asking
badass jeep man check out my wj on my channel man
@E5Ridez Thnkss very much .. yes thats what i was asking!
thanks
Ok cool thanks I look them up the prices are awesome. but how do you know
if the guy who puts them on ebay won’t rip you off some of the pics look
fake?
Looks great
Thanks for a awsome video! You answered all questions i had about HID
conversion. Have you discovered any drawbacks so far? The original
headlight is a joke. And here in the north of Sweden we have a loooong dark
winter, not good combo. Again, thank´s a lot for the video!
@E5Ridez Thank you very much for your help
hey nice work :p what head lights are those and what kind of fog lights ?
cant find the same for some reason thx
@SATOBROADCAST1 They alternate on my jeep, inside bulb flash, then goes off
then outside corner bulb flash and so on. If that’s what your asking
whats the lifespan of the modules/converters? Id hate for those little
shits to bust out on me at night.
@3gencamaroguy PS: If your jeep IS a EUROPEAN (made in Austria) you will
not be able to do this steps i post here before, you’ll have to buy on ebay
the sockets: 3157(replace turn), 194 (screw a hole on corner to install)
and buy the lamps.. and also install a relay on EACH headlamp to make them
alternate (side/ corner; side/corner and so on.. ), i don’t have enough
space to type the hole deal here.. but if you have further questions feel
free to send me a message and i’ll explain it better!!!
why cant you touch?
@kennzz05 My driveway is slanted upwards, they are aimed fine
@inuslash93 exactly right
DO you know where the headlight relay is on 1999 JGC?? THX!!
@E5Ridez how much was the kit? and what brand was it?
@calibum01 i used a 9006, so yeah, it should be fine
iv been looking at hid kit for my 2001 grand cherokee laredo the bulb it
uses is 9006xs could i use a 9006 bulb for a hid kit
im installing hids on my buddy’s 07 jeep its all factory so i should not
have any problem?
WHAT YEAR IS URE JEEP?
@BryceBetch think you need to check the aim on those look awfully high.As a
truckdriver it really gets old being blinded every night by poorly aimed
aftermarket hids. and you might wanna mention that aftermarket hid kits are
illegal, and if you get a cop with an attitude you can be ticketed. if you
google headlight aiming you will find the proper way to aim them. Im just
saying. Never seen a round ballast kit before or that thing to create 55
watt output are you in canada?
what kind of car is that in your garage. looks sick . is it a lambo
If you switch from high to low beams, does the visability change at all? do
you have the option to change between them?
@Macintosh1019 nope, my high beams are the two inner lights, they do
nothing else
@3gencamaroguy Enabling the Daytime running lights feature (USA models) The
daytime running light (DRL) feature is standard on Canadian Grand Cherokee
models but can also be enabled for 1999-2004 U.S. models (dealer visit
required). 1. Replace the existing low beam relay with a DRL relay (P/N
56042216AB). 2. Change the vehicle country code to “Canada” with a DRBIII®
tool. 3. Reset the BCM so the country code change remains in memory. (HAVE
TO BE DONE)
@xxjr963xx already have a custom cat back out the side, its not done yet
though, gotta get a couple of high flow cats and a second muffler so i can
convert it to true duel side exhaust, also have a 26 mm throttle body
spacer and a k&n cold air intake system, as it sits the jeep makes around
300 hp and 350-360 flbs of torque
@kennzz05 As I said before, my driveway is slanted upwards from the street,
making my headlights shine higher then normal, I aimed them before I
tightened everything down, they are about 3 feet from street level on a
flat surface, they Probly wouldent bother a corvettes rear view mirror, and
yes I’m in Canada, hid kits are legal here
@SATOBROADCAST1 yup, just the side and turn signal lights flash, the center
one stays on
What brand Halos are those? I have a 2000 WJ and I’m looking at getting
Halos, i found a cheap set of CCFLs on ebay, but I also want to upgrade to
HID. I’ve heard from a couple people that its not a great idea to put HIDs
in Halos because they run really hot and have a chance of melting the
Halos….is this true?
@xxjr963xx Its an 8
haha funny I did mine in 2006 I did the same thing and my ballasts are
mounted in the same place.. BTW what brand are you HID? I gt something
called Tenon and 3 years later still going
What size bulb would i use for stock headlights? i cant seem to find a
straight ansewer. i dont have halo headlights
If your WJ is from the U.S. then they don’t have Daytime Running Lights
(DRL) – so don’t waste your money on converters/relay wiring harnesses like
I did. Just install the bulb and ballasts and you’re good to go.
@E5Ridez thanks for the video, a got this head light in my jeep 2 1/2 years
good looking light ,, question how you connect the 3 small light and the
rims where you connected?? thanks ..
@Macintosh1019 i ordered 90006 as well, with 8000k temp, so your good to go
with your order
