ŚŃĨРĔŔŚЖ says:

does that affect insulation in the down hood??

M C says:

Your hole saw is spinning the wrong way mate, lol. reason why them cuts are not clean, trying going the other way and see how clean the cuts are.

rjet43 says:

ok so i am an aircraft mechanic and since the louvers are blocked by the hood supports there is no need to do all that cutting! just turn the hood over and cut out around the support frame areas! this will be so much easier, quicker and do the same job as the full cut. not to mention you will be less likely to cut a support frame! Just my opinion!

6Mictian9 says:

Other than in theory, do hood louvers really help to keep the engine bay cooler?

James Merkel says:

It's ok old school hot rod type hood but there is a better hood & that still isn't color matched. I think most would won't color matching. panel & black or ss screws. I want my platinum hood to hve a locking system not jeep set up. It needs to hve a water heater/grate & then the hood & I like the upgraded raised look a bit more thanthis type. Bc of the grate I can walk on hood to reach rack. W/out color match it seems unfinshed, just Me.

Pitbull Gamer81 says:

Why didnt you paint all the holes you drilled now they will rust

Nicholas Sanders says:

Adding these hood louvers is money well spent https://amzn.to/3cWb4Z4

Jason Tanner says:

Did you also paint around where you drilled the screw holes?

hiphopcroaks24 says:

ATTENTION MORONS it amazes me how many "what about water coming thru" comments there are. Why dont you all stop and think for a minute. Theres no difference between this and having water splash underneath while driving in the rain. Use your damn heads.

Wolf Fortenberry says:

Thank you for such a clear and awesome install video!!

RMP RMP says:

Your video is excellent! Thank you for the step by step instructions. Very well done!

RMP RMP says:

Colorado weather is quite though – especially during the winter when there's plenty of snow fall. How do we prevent the snow from entering the engine (which could cause rusting)?!

73Challenger says:

You forgot to tell everyone watching that if you use cutting fluid with the hole saw it makes a nice clean hole instead of the saw jumping around like a fart in a windstorm.

m v says:

Thank you for the install. I'm always nervous cutting into the jeep, but your step by step made it seem doable. I am ordering the louver today.

Jesus says:

Awesome job! but how to prevent water from getting into the engine?

John Hawk says:

In years past we had heat problems under the hood in Chevy Ambulances, we tried lovers scoops the gambit, none had meaningful success in Florida. Ultimately, a switch to Ford resolved the issue. Definitive engine temps are required to substantiate viability beyond cosmetic. Based on real-world use.

Hakenkreuz says:

Won't rain come through the hood now

ABN PTHFDR says:

I appreciate the install explanations and the "access holes details;" that'll save us some headaches… Although it has nothing to do with the louver install, I was wondering why you didn't paint the area under the hood hinges and the hinges themselves. When taken apart, they looked like crap (because they get no paint from factory), this will be the perfect time to hit that area with the paint you used to do the cut out edges. Another thing I would do is to paint the top part of the hood support braces. I would paint them black, so it won't show so much from the top. Good instructions and video overall!!

Michael N says:

Can you plz make video on how to replace the map light, dome lights, Interior lights on the 2018 JLU. Thanks.

CanIBeFrank says:

Nice looking install – on the outside. The inside looks like trash. I would be embarrassed to open my hood. I'd have to figure out a fix for that before I installed the louver.
