Thanks for the video and advice. I am going to be tackling flushing the
coolant system and replacing the t-sta. Your video helped me in this
process.

Mine kept leaking too. I had to buy a new housing cap, the original one
wasnt fitting on properly. Cheap part about $15. Just be sure to take the
electrical connecter out of the old one before discarding. The new cap does
not come with this piece. I also used a gasket adhesive to bond everything
together. GREAT VIDEO!!

Dude…

Nashville Computer, Inc. says:

i did not drain the radiator, i did place a pan under the front of the
engine for the small amount of fluid that came out.

RVApunkROCK says:

Fwiw if you’ve never changed on on these, you really need to make sure the
tstat doesn’t slip down between the housing and cylinder head. They’re
prone to it due to how they sit and you’ll piss coolant out from between
them and ruin the gasket.

Brian Powers says:

i usually spray a little sealent on the inside of the gasket just to make
sure the gasket doesnt slip. nothing will piss you off more than breaking
the gasket and going back to the parts store for a new one.

Sean Doyle says:

did you drain the radiator first?
