Hidden Air Compressor Install – Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator

Hidden Air Compressor Install – Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator

Having the ability to easily air up your tires after a long day on the trail is helpful, but having to lug around a bulky air compressor or installing one in a storage area that takes up space just isn’t ideal. In this video, I install the Grimm Off-road dual ARB compressor and mount system on my wires 2018 Jeep Wrangler. This mounting system tucked the compressor away in a nice location, but allows for ease of use.

How’s the compressor holding up off-roading? With tire flex, etc?

Bryan Hall says:

Thanks for the great walk through. I did this install this weekend and it turned out great. The Grimm instructions were good but watching this made it a lot more clear.

Vance Greening says:

How water proof are the ARB compressors? I like this kit but am worried about fording any water.

Chad Beasley says:

So after having some time with this mod do you have any pros and cons? I would like to add this to my JL but i have questions. Does it ever overheat being in the engine compartment? Does water fording damage the unit at all? Will getting "flexy" while rock crawling make contact if you have oversized tires?

Tom McCurnin says:

Not an Overlander, but I really enjoyed hearing about this product and watching the installation. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

Jack says:

Would love to do this but my diesel's windshield fluid reservoir is in the way and I have yet to figure out a decent way to relocate the bottle. If anyone else has I'd love to know.

Zaher Mousa says:

Dear ;please, where can I get this entire kit online? I am in Saudi Arabia

PhotoJeeper says:

I tried to do the install on a 2021 JL. It does not fit, Jeep changed the design since; there is a hard coolant that is wrapped in an insulating material. So if you have a 2021 with the 3.6 (24 valve) engine it will not fit. Too bad I can post photos on the comments section. If you want to see the comparison photos post an email address and I will email them or I am on Facebook as PhotoJeeper and on Instagram and I will message you the photos. This an expensive kit. I bought the ARB under seat kit. It does have the ability to put the hoses outside of the vehicle.

Doesn’t Matter says:

Bought it! Thanks

Will Rouse says:

Where did you attach the compressor's ground wire?

Ronan Alves says:

Perfect! Great job!!!

Jesus Lozoya says:

Is this kit still available?

ŚŃĨРĔŔŚЖ says:

This is JL, how about JK can compressor fit in same location

Gino20202 says:

What creeper chair is that? I’ve been looking for one like it but I can’t find it anywhere.

Carlos Ramos says:

I'm trying to buy the parts for the kit but I'm not a member of e3 Overland. Where else is the kit available?

Tauland Radaj says:

Does that allows falcon 3.3 to fit? I just installed the dv8 braket but it looks like my 3.3 falcons wich are on the way wont fit

Leonardo Fleites says:

Gracias Brad por compartir el video. Estoy esperando por mi compresor para su montaje. Veré si puedo conseguir el kit de montaje aquí / España

Francesco Guarino says:

Does this mount use the same mounting point as the sPOD? would like to install both the sPOD bantam along with the compressor.

D D says:

Does it fit a 2013 JKU?

TXOverlandAdventure says:

The ARB Air is one of my favorite mods you have done. I want to do the same but want a switch inside the cab, and an air connect in a spot without having to raise the hood…maybe hose running to front bumper with a quick connect and bracket?
