Had to do a quick fix on the rear pinion seal. It blew and was shooting oil everywhere.

There's a preload torque spec that should be met. If it's too tight or too loose it can cause that leak or damage. If you don't have the tools to do the preload procedure you can take a Dremel and cut a line on the yolk and the shaft and torque it back to that
Don't be surprised when the rear-end goes bad from touching that nut
Good stuff.
Check the breather might not be functioning properly shouldn't have blown out the seal
