I put a OME 1.5lift on my KK. It came from Jeepin-by-Al but installed by my local Jeep dealer (and yes, in my area, they are the only dealership that tricks out any jeep right off the showroom floor). I also replaced the “A” arms. Looks good. Running 255/65 16’s. Hancook Dynpro AT’s. Longer heavy springs and shocks really make it ride much better then the stock suspension. It gave me 3 more inchs of space between the skids and ground. Have 10 in front, 8.5 in back. Lockers are next.

How did the Grey Chevy get beat up?

lilHamminator says:

Go back to school.

pantera090789 says:

your drawing was so bad they had to include a simulation of the jeep.

PlugDumps says:

Spring compressors.

I live in Canada and hear Emoo all the time.. makes me laugh !!

Darren Smith says:

Very handy how to guide, and I thankyou for that.
But as an Australian I can’t help but want to give you a hint for the next time that you say the EMU part of Old Man Emu. It’s pronounced eemuuu and not emoo. No big deal I know, but I just wanted to try to help you fine gents in America to be able to get your head around the mad manner in which Aussie’s pronounce words. 🙂

CharlieOscarOmega says:

what the fuck?

Bobby North says:

thank you, his spelling was killing me.

Snakebiteloo says:

judging by your spelling you might actually be more intelligent than most of the licensed mechanics who have worked on my vehicles…. needless to say i will never bring my truck to a mechanic if it can be avoided

ed0985587 says:

Nice job. Good video

eighteeens says:

lol license**

Camp4lo says:

Loving these videos.

Dillonpickle says:

7:25. longer bump stops are not to save your wheelarches, they save your shocks being the bumpstops and getting hammered/broken/flogged.

jack5001ful says:

lol you just contradicted yourself by say it will not give ground clearance and then later in the statement stating it does, that’s a double negative next time you want to sound smart try not to do that. 🙂

dubya TF says:

Fred, you need some ratchet wrenches for those shocks buddy.

Daryl Vaca says:

How much was the lift kit?

Christian Anthony says:

There is about an inch and a half more ground clearance due to the larger tires.
A suspension lift on a JK will not gain additional ground clearance as the axle tube/differential housings will still be lowest points on the vehicle.
The suspension kit gives you space to run a larger tire which then gives you more ground clearance.

Seventh7Art says:

Stock ground clearance: 10 inches. How about this kit?

leyendas2366 says:

Price

leyendas2366 says:

What about the proce of that new tires and brand? 🙂

Syed Bilal Hussain Hashmi says:

That’s what she said

Tiago Fernandes says:

hi… shouldn’t you torque everything only AFTER the jeep is on its wheels standing?… if you don´t the bushings will be twisted at ride height…not going to last that long…br

Steve Rivera says:

4:55 made me laugh. If someone needs an explanation on how to loosen their lugs before jacking up the vehicle then they have no business attempting a suspension lift.

matt96039 says:

0:40 random cat

Mark Roberge says:

Terrific video..thank you!

donyario says:

what about brakes and power to go along with the upgrades? or the jeep is fine without that stuff and just the lift?

Wade Phipps says:

Kitty cat videobomb at 0:40!
