Hey mate, we like you talking in the video, in which you tell us small things whihc are important, so who said that you talk a lot in your video is not doing the right thing to us.

John G says:

I'll add my support to hear you talk more as well… I bet there are a lot of other creators making videos on how to do something. I watch your videos because you've walked the walk, and I want to hear your opinion on these topics.

Simon Peter Ocakacon says:

The roads in africa are brutal so you need the winch

North Oz Photography says:

I have to comment. I watch your videos over other youtubers because you talk more and verbally explain your thinking. I often put on your videos and do chores at the same time, so I actually like that you explain what you do so I don’t miss out on anything. The reality is, I work a lot and don’t get to sit down to watch a whole video. When I’m not working I’m on the road exploring. Having the explanations means that I can do other things and I can still follow along. People in this community enjoy going camping and spending time discussing their builds in great detail. If you aren’t one of these people, download the instruction manual for the accessories and read that instead. I’m here for the knowledge. Don’t change, because there is a reason we began following you

Mike Absell says:

Hey Dan, love your work and can’t wait to see your travels around Australia (borders and COVID permitting). I understand that Warn is definitely the way to go but would have liked to understand how you went about selecting the right specifications and features for your winch. I’m thinking about one for my Wrangler, but not sure how to select the right specifications and features.

Michael Dallimore says:

Did you install a winch isolation switch. It may prevent a fire in the case of a front end collission (even with a kangaroo) where the main winch cable can be shorted. You just have to open the hood and turn the winch on before using it. Not a huge inconvenience.

b monck says:

Your talking is good info – better than most . Why would that be a problem ?

Georg Bittner-Buddenbrock says:

Don't let your style be influenced by whoever, be and do your thing your way it has served you well so fare, didn't it? But if you want to change your style than do it, you won't be able to please everybody anyway.
I for myself, I'd rather be authentic than pleasing.

Raymasseyus says:

You need to talk during the videos music and just watching somebody install parts it's not your strengths. You explaining why you chose the card why you're installing it the way you installing it your experience is invaluable like others have said. That's why I watch this channel.

Ron Vaillant says:

Are earlier Rubicons winch ready as well?
I saw the battery hook up but did not see the on – off switch hook up. Do the Ruby’s have that factory wired?
Thanks. I don’t mind the talking either as it’s always valuable.
Does this mean you have moved back to Australia. A Gladiator cost is no joke.

blackstratus says:

Looks great. Watch out for the grill guard rusting at the welds. I had mine replaced three times in one year from it rusting so bad.

Malcolm Stuart N says:

Have you ever hit a roo mate? A big boomer can still demolish that Jeep and radiator. In twilight hours it's harder to see them, but they jump out of the bush right in front of you. Extra weight is worth a proper bull bar. Or maybe weld something to what you have. It's your rig so good luck.

J designs says:

I know you're crazy about weight in this build, so why not leave the bumper off and JUST have the winch plate? That front bumper has to be a significant amount of weight.
Well filmed install BTW.

Cheap Ole Gun Guy says:

You forgot the most important item to prepare for an Australian adventure….An authentic Australian slouch hat, how do you not have one? 🙂

Mitch Rasmussen says:

Please keep talking – your detailed analysis of why you do what you do has helped me out a lot. I really enjoy hearing your thoughts mate.

Spencer Hogg says:

Another great video, and I think your explanations are good, I'm here just following the build journey and travels!

AJ Mims says:

The "talking" is essential and the reason I watch. You have experience to share. Maybe release two versions of a video?

Principal Skinr says:

What do you use for navigation? I've got a Garmin Overlander with Garmin Explore and it works with an Inreach device for communication when out of cell range. But also Gaia GPS just made their app compatible with Android Auto, so I'll be using that, too. (I like redundancy with navigation, with both being able to operate off-line.) Just curious what you use or will be using on this trip.

Chris Turner says:

That little hoop bar won’t do a thing against a kangaroo…….

Jason Floyd says:

Warn is great stuff. All but the VR line are made in Oregon. Are Runva and other Australian-made winches just not up to the job? I run a 12k Warn Platinum on my rig.

Good to see you covering pretensioning the line!

chopperchuck says:

I don't think you talk too much.
I keep waiting for it to turn into like a nature documentary.
Now here we see a line of jeeps getting ready to cross the river notice that the largest Jeep is going to go first and then the less capable Jeeps will follow it with the second largest Jeep waiting until everybody's crossed the river careful let's not get too close and spook them
