Next time use a punch and sledge then fish new bolts in then use nuts on the bolts with lock washers much more efficient.

Bullshitkorner says:

mine never had the t55 it had a regular bolt, you could always cut the nut off… the axle will drop quite far but won’t fall off as it’s still held in place by the upper and lower control arms plus the shocks if they are still installed

Michael Allen says:

what did you use to take out the track bar? I know that it takes a T55 but I don’t have the room to fit the socket and ratchet between the gas tank and the track bar. Any tips before I lose my knuckles trying to use a torx key? Also, when you remove the track bar, does the entire axle come to the ground?

Bullshitkorner says:

it’s a rough country 4 inch lift, I would spend the money and get a better lift kit if i was to do it over

tannercdaniel says:

what type of lift is that?

Phantasmos says:

Water & wet rags to fight gas fire!!
Plasma cutter to cut damp/wet metals..
Yeaper, no burns, just shocked for thrills…

Thats a good one!!

Bullshitkorner says:

the 4″ suspension rides good, it is bouncy and it’s top heavy so you don’t want to be corning at 90mph but so far i’m happy with it. I did have a pretty god vibration at first but after a couple months i hardly even notice it now but i’m still thinking of putting in a slip yoke to help with the drive line angles.

airell47 says:

how did the jeep ride with the 4 inch lift installed did u end up having to do some drive sahft work ?? did u get any vibrations from ur drive line angles?? just wondering as i went with the 3 1/4 ” lift to be safe and kept the factory trailing arms but i am wanting to go with the bigger better trailing arms and slightly bigger springs.

Ray Plocher says:

I found this more helpful then MOTORZ there one big commericial ANNNOOOYYYYIIINNNGGG!!!!

Bullshitkorner says:

i ended up just welding a stud for the time being, if they bust off again i’ll look into that conversion kit or fab up my own

Matthew Witryk says:

The shock bolts are a beeotch and a stupid design… I usually soak them for about a week in PB Blaster then heat them… Start by tightening and loosening to work the oil in all while hitting it with more Blaster… Usually work themselves out, but if you plan on removing them alot, Rough Country makes a single bolt bracket/conversion that would be best, even if you break the bolts off you can just weld thire bracket into place…

Bullshitkorner says:

it’s such a stupid set up, a big fail for jeep

Scott Burchett says:

MY BOLTS BROKE ON UPPER SHOCK .THATS A SHITTY SET UP

Bullshitkorner says:

i’m hoping to get lucky and find someone that is parting out a jeep with those gear ratios but otherwise i’m gonna have to price out a gear set as i have a dana 35 in the rear. it’s a work in progress but it will get there

Jason Schmidt says:

Exactly. I’ve got 4:56 in mine with 33s. Automatic w/od also. Those long shallow hills are no problem at all. The previous owner did the gearing so I didn’t have to worry about it. I’m in the process of relocating my rear track bar now. I did a tummy tuck a few months back and it rubs like crazy on the gas tank. I’m gonna go with a Currie adjustable. Jeeps looking great! Good luck with it. 😉

Bullshitkorner says:

yes 33’s will come, I will need to do a different gear ratio, thinking of around 4.56. I have 31’s on it now but the engine lags pretty easy in overdrive with the slightest hill

Jason Schmidt says:

Nice job! Time for 33s 😉

Bullshitkorner says:

thank you for taking the time to watch them

3tour says:

Thanks for the videos man, love watching them after work.

Bullshitkorner says:

I know what you mean, I am going to rebuild the track bars on the jeep, when I start doing that I will remove the new brackets and go about painting the underside. Your right though it would have made more sense to do it from the very start

DuruConsigliere says:

You’re doing a fantastic job man. Loving the thread. My only suggestion, so take it how you want. When you got all those parts off, why don’t you hit that bare metal with some rust stopper man. Good ol’ Rustolium. at the very least it will slow down your cancer. I know we all work on a time frame and I get that, but if you’re planning on keeping it for a while.. A ounce worth of maintenance is worth a pound of cure. Like I said, love the vids, keep them coming man!
