Thank you Ray for your feedback. The task is simpler if you you see someone else do it beforehand. My video’s are not intended to be sophisticated but give you some confidence in doing some simple tasks. There is a module under the dash that controls the maintenance light. I just simply disconnected mine. No more light an no problem will result in the disconnection.

Thanks for this video! It was more comfortable for me to change my O2 sensor after seeing your video. Question: After changing it in my 1991 low mileage 83,000, the “Required Maintenance” light is still on. How did u turn that light off in your dash board? Can I turn it off myself?

Klondike Mike says:

O2 sensor available from ANY auto parts store. Online try RockAuto. Specify vehicle when at the parts desk. My guess is for your 91 that you only have one. Be glad we don’t have to buy 4 as with the newer vehicles.

Ray Ortines says:

where do you purchase this O2 sensor? If I had to ask for it in a car shop, what name/part number etc do I ask? I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee. Is there ONLY 1 O2 sensor for this model?

Klondike Mike says:

FSM = factory service manual. Call Chrysler for cost.

SuperDagod1 says:

what is the fsm? how much does it cost?

Klondike Mike says:

Thats not valid thinking with this item. It’s not a mechanical device. Its electronic in nature and has a limited life-span. The FSM states that it should be replaced @ 82.5k miles. Its an important part on how the system runs, its a feedback unit.

SuperDagod1 says:

I don’t see a reason to replace it until it breaks. Mine has 188K on it, and works fine. How much was it
