Today I’m finally getting around to resolving the reason why these pesky ABS and Traction Control Lights keep showing up!! It has been an intermittent problem with our 2012 Jeep Wrangler for the past several months and I finally got it diagnosed. In this video we will be doing a step by step replacement of the right front speed sensor. I hope this video helps anyone experiencing the same issue. In theory this process should be the same for 07-18, but Please do your own research. Below is a link to the part I used (PLEASE CONFIRM this is the same part number as the one you will need for your Jeep)

I have watched a few different videos on replacing the sensors front and back. Hands down this video is the best I have come across. Spending the time on the small details (camera angle, lighting, voice over, arrows, etc) makes all the difference in the world. Nicely done Sir!!!!

Bill Felix says:

This video helped me tremendously, thank you, B i l l

Mark Ventura says:

Hey there! Before you replaced your wheel sensor assembly, did you get the ABS,TRACTION,HILL ASSIST intermitent lights pops in the dashboard? Let me know. However how is this parts treating you? Do you have any issues after replacing it? TIA.

Sandy Mitchell says:

Awesome video. I have some question for the Jeep folks I hope someone will help me with.2009 JK 6spd manual,2 door, every Light is on ABS,BRAKES,TRACTION CONTROL, Etc, #1 If my jeep has ABS is there a special sensor for that?? like non ABS sensor/ with ABS sensor ? mine has ABS. # 2 after Install do I need to reprogram anything or do the lights go off on their own? # after replacing could there be another problem beside the sensor? tpms?? I did take it to a mechanic and he told me my battery was not strong enough to get a proper reading on which sensors it could be, but that one or two were bad…live in a rural area with not many people with the proper computer to diagnose. thanks in advance

My sensor light comes on only on reverse but just for a second or two, wondering if yours was on all the time?

Brian Lumadue says:

This video is perfect. I was able to follow it straight through and replaced the right front wheel sensor on our 2017 JK in less than an hour. Outstanding. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

vee bee says:

is this the same as a jeep patriot? my 2016 has the same issue.

Norskman says:

You didn’t have take the caliper off the bracket. The 2 21mm bolts takes the whole thing off.

JAVIER ANDRES VELEZ-MARTINEZ says:

Is there any programing that needs to be done? My right rear speed sensor broke and I got all the lights on, took it to the dealer and they diagnosed and took care of it (very expensive). Then a week after the left front sensor broke, they diagnosed it free of charge but said that if I wanted to change it I would have to "have an expert program it", don't know if they were bluffing but I have the part ready to install just hesitant because of this.
