Will Chevy Swapped Jaguar Run & Drive 1400 Miles After 18 Years? NO TITLE!

Will Chevy Swapped Jaguar Run & Drive 1400 Miles After 18 Years? NO TITLE!

After Kevin and I swapped the VAN drivetrain into a disabled vet’s 56 Desoto, I had to find a ride home. So i bought this vintage “turn key” 1983 Jaguar XJS with a 350 small block swapped into it with no title. Needless to say, nothing goes as planned….

I think she could use a nice coat of Massey Ferguson red

Rants From The Road says:

I feel for you. Every SBC Chevy I ever had was an endless money put just like your Jaaaag. I hear there are good Chevy’s out there, but then I see a couple guys in the parking lot at 2am trying to fix theirs SBC and I’m reminded why I take a hard pass on Chevrolet.

Seth Wood says:

Having built a '72 jag xj6 with a 350, you have to run the rams horn headers because of the subframe. As a result the starter cooks from the exhaust being too close. You literally have to wait an hour for it to cool down and then you can start it up again. With the window randomly not working, an old head jag guy i know told me if you dont use the electricals regularly they stop working. Another old head told me if you want….kitty….you drive a jag. Ive got videos of mine on my channel. Bastard of a build but cool when it was done.

Brent Kremer says:

push the jag over a ciff

nik milosevic says:

Turbo Jag… why the hell not!

Peyton Rudolph says:

Funny thing the person that built that must have built multiple because my uncle has one. Exact same engine and was also from California. When he got it it came with all the paperwork and when I say all I mean all. It literally had its own briefcase. Love your videos and in general your content. So please keep posting as I find them entertaining.

Mike Cohen says:

Why is it that road trips seem like a great idea and tons of fun until they don't? 500 mile and your ass is numb, idk

Robert Wilson says:

Roadkill agrees, just dont. 0/2 sbc swapped jags

Wes Reneau says:

You guys are either brave, or nuts. Either way I enjoyed the escapades in what should be renamed “The Hag”.

Bill Hartnett says:

This series has been very entertaining. I know I probably shouldn't, but I kinda love the JAAGGG. I think it'd be a hoot to just make it a good solid runner & just leave the cosmetics as is then put around town. Great video.

Dan Monaghan says:

Carb was well worth it. Great stuff.

Mike Cohen says:

I gave u a like but that entire process was so bogus, having to convert that hunk of shit with all those way to expensive Edelbrock parts was sinister, then theres the length of this video, good thing I don't get paid by the HR, was there a purpose here? I'm exhausted

Eric Amidon says:

It's a jagrolet

Behr’s Garage says:

I’m glad I’m not the only one who buys questionable life choices and then drives them long distances.

Parshath20 says:

More suffering please. 😉

PAVEMENTMOD says:

Unless the Jag was non-opted with California DMV, you can probably expect CA DMV to want payment for all back registrations plus penalties before they release the title. Good Luck

BumbleGrom says:

Greg Benwell says:

NOW you need a Ford Coyote Swapped Austin DB-6!!

Baughlin87 says:

That looks like my friend Candie Gonzales’ car from Utah. He had family in Arizona. I wonder if that’s his car
