Hello Drone, I recently was driving my X5 3.0 and hit a pot hole and when I stopped at the stop light the vehicle wouldn't go into reverse or drive. The dealer says it's the mechatronics and or the trans. However, I have never had an issue with the trans. What would you say and how can I actually know or be sure that it is diagnosed properly?
I have a 2005 Phaeton 4.2L with the six speed ZF. I am having issues with the transmission not shifting well between 3rd and 4th gear as well as 5 & 6. It makes a barking sound between those gears I mentioned. I had a check engine light show up once or twice but it goes away. I have to drive it in manual mode just to drive it now. I’m in the Atlanta GA area and everyone keeps suggesting a new transmission but I feel it may be this issue or the mechatronix. Would this fix possibly help?
Do you know how to clear adaptations for the transmission? It's recommended it be done after any major repairs with the zf 6hp26 auto gearbox.

Great video! I have a 2003 745i with 96k miles and started having transmission fault after a 30mile run. After stopping it wouldn’t go into any gear, it just jumped into neutral. Shorter runs it was fine.Took it to a transmissions specialist and told them about your diagnosis. Took them 4 hours with new filter pan, bolts, 7 litres fluid and new two hole adapter seal. Cost me £650 but now drives beautifully again. BMW diagnosed… Need New Gearbox!! My adapter seal was cracked right through in 2 places! Thanks again. Oh, the specialist explained that you should NEVER put more than the 7 litres of fluid in or the pressures can be wrong. The gears are changed at specific pressures so if they are wrong then the gear changes are not correct.
Hello my 04 BMW 745li car has 52k miles last a few weeks soon as unlock the car notice the R.N.D FLASHING I STARTED STILL FLASHING I shut it off and started 3 times till stopped flashing so I was able to drive it now I started and flash for a few minutes then stopped and black out took it to dealership and they said need new valve body – mschentronic don't trust the dealer any suggestions thanks
my e46 318i 2001 has a cold start first gear hang up to 3500rpm after warm up it is normal, is there someway to fix it?

I have a Jaguar XF with the same gearbox and thinking about servicing and replacing these seals. I've seen a full teardown video with the gearbox on the bench but it's good to watch someone doing this in a home garage with all the usual problems from working on your back with limited space 🙂 Great video thanks!

hey drone, i have a 08 bmw 750li
its having problems accelerating and is lagging but does fine once im going fast like 60mph….i get the message (transmission fault, reduced acceleration) could this be related to what your fixing or a completely different issue/fix???

Very informative video , but you really need to do the ATF fluid level check with the vehicle level and between a specific temperature range on your scan tool. You know If you wore a one piece rain suit you could flash the owners before re-flashing the DME.

Great video, thank you. I have a 2006 750li in very good condition 145k miles. I started having intermittent faulty transmissions a month ago, until it stayed in faulty all the time. I reset the engine light and it work fine, but it came back. I change pan and fluid and it work great for a day. now when I try to put it in D goes to P. In my opinion the issue was engaging on 1st, after engaging no issues. I am thinking on replacing Guibo and these parts that your are describing in this email and the solenoids as you mention. Any thoughts?
