I'm guessing you couldn't do this with modern electronics as there are even more transistors
"Slot buggered"
wonderful job!!
The RSOD is scary.
Great work. You have a steady hand, and lots of patience!
Also, best line in the video: "But to finally take something out so big and hard is a real joy" 😛
This was therapeutic to watch. Had a Jaaaaag back in the day and will be getting one again, so great to have a good heads up on this. Disappointed you didn't use the saw though. 😀 Wonderful to see Doom being used in the test. That was actually how I played the full version of Doom as my PC really wasn't up to task. Big soft spot for the Jag port of Doom 🙂
I´ve almost expected you will start to light candles and essences, chanting for machine god (becuse of the near-WH40K music).
Well, in this case it would be recommended x)

That isn't the smallest tip you can get for that soldering station. I wouldn't use that tip for even through hole components.
I have 1 Jaguar with a similar problem, I'll have to see if there are pins messed up in the slot. Do you have a link to where you purchased the replacement slot from? Also, the Skunk board case you have – is that a 3d printed case? Do you have a link to an STL of that or where you got it? Thanks!
