I need to take my passenger seat out, how many cables connect to the seat bottom? is it a difficult process? I am forced to take a large dog somewhere in the car and want to remove the seat for the drive, but if it is complicated to remove and refind the cables, or a delicate task i would rather not

david badger says:

The Drive Channel says:

My 07 does this too. Just on the drivers (LH) side. What a pain. The Bluetooth has a similar issue which I cannot fix to save my life. PLEASE publish that fix if you know it!

a walk says:

At what point should you disconnect the battery when taking the seat out? OR don't you need to do that?

Personal Privilege says:

I redid my interior in red and battery was disconnected for more than three weeks and It happen to my Jaguar XK and I had to reprogram them with scanner diagnostic and it mine worked fine.

I have a 2014 XF. After disconnecting the battery, the doors wouldn't lock. I quick trip to a Jaguar specialist had them working again, but it was £72.

What on earth is it with Jaguars that stuff breaks when disconnecting the battery?

Don't get me wrong, I love my XF to bits, but problems like this just should not exist.

Stuart Macneill says:

This sort of worked. I have a jerky but working seat now. Passenger seat is still knackered. Fitted later module but it dod not work. Any ideas?

Stuart Macneill says:

My drivers seat is now working jerkily but passenger seat still knackered?

William Lowish says:

I live in the US and I have a 2007 XKR. My passenger seat works okay but it will not lower as much as the drivers seat resulting in less headroom for the passenger. Would the module cause that sort of issue? The Jag dealer says I need to replace the entire under seat frame assembly. $3,000 is the cost.

Andork Kuomo says:

So, '06 and '07 modules, you have to reprogram them EVERY time you disconnect the battery??? WTF genius at Jag R&D came up with that BS?

Mr P Tunna says:

Interesting fault, any more info on why this happens? Cheers
