Reset the service required warning.
When a service is due on the Jaguar XKR you will see a
Service required message between the two dials on the dah pod.

If you are doing the service yourself, you will need to know how to reset the warning light

This is how to reset the warning message

First, Press and hold rear fog lamp switch for three seconds

While still holding the rear fog lamp button, and with foot off the brake pedal, push and release the start button (turns ignition on without starting the engine)
The leaper will show on the touch screen,

Release both rear fog lamp switch and ignition switch.

Within 1 second press and hold trip button

Still holding the trip button down, within 1 second press and hold rear fog lamp switch.

You will see “resetting service” message on the digital display between the speedo and tach.

Continue to hold trip button and rear fog lamp switch for about 12 seconds until you get a “reset complete” message.

The steps are:

Press and Hold Rear Fog light for 3 seconds, then while still holding, press ignition button (with foot OFF the brake).

Release both rear fog light and ignition button

Press and hold Trip button, while holding, press and hold the rear fog light until you see: “reset complete”
