Visual Pinball Sucks!
Nothing about Visual Pinball is user friendly or convenient. It’s a PITA!!
Tables look like outdated DX7 2D shit.
Currently enjoying The Pinball Arcade and FX2 in 3d Vision while patiently
awaiting cab support. If I don’t get it, then I won’t waste a ton of money
on a lame ass Visual Pinball cab.
Any idea why when I go to LOAD Table Visual Pinball crashes?!?
I have MAME, MESS & a few dozen, other assorted emulators, all of which I
can use w/o no problems. But I never could get Visual Pinball &/or DAPHNE
(Laserdisk arcade games (Dragon’s Lair, Space Ace, etc) to work. Every
year or 2 I go back & try them again, but always quit in frustration.
AND IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY!!!! I’m subscribin’!

Thanks for making this video, installation guide on vpforums is a wall of
text. Options are a little different in the newest version but you got me
up and running way sooner than if I’d had to dig for all that.
I see some FS Spanned tables, what does spanned mean in terms of this ?

ok, well, twilight zone worked perfectly, but still.
Im getting the same exact message Tomathana can’t figure that out because
the WPC script is in the tables folder where it belongs. What I can’t
figure out is why the table won’t load and why these errors are popping up.
I followed this guys tutorial to the letter except installing the cabinet
part as im just using this to play on my laptop.
When I try to move that .dll file to the VPinMAME folder (around 7:47 in
the video) it says I need to run as administrator to move to this folder.
When I click “continue,” it just keeps saying “you need permission to
perform this action” no matter how many times I click “Try again.” Please
help!
Try right clicking the vpinball icon and going to properties, then run as
administrator. That might work.
Hello, I just got the pinball wizard controller from nanotech. I’ve been
using Pinball nirvana as my download source and the wizard controller will
not work with visual but will with future. Is vp forum going to be a better
choice to get this controller to work with visual? I like what you’ve done
here and I will definatly use your site as a resource
I’ve been using MAME since 1997, MESS since 2001 & I have dozens of other
retro/vintage video game emulators. I’ve really wanted to play, but never
had any luck getting Visual Pinball to work. I try, get frustrated, quit &
then come back a year or 2 later & try again. (Same thing with Daphne
emulator) But I will follow your tutorial. Hopefully the 15th time is a
charm. Can you please tell me, could I use 2 displays, like my LCD TV for
the Pinball part & my Laptop for the back board/score part?
