I take that back the Emergency brake caliper piston is turned in instead of pushed. So you need a special tool I’ll try and get my footage together and get it uploaded in the next week.

Brembos are standard on all 03-05 STR’s. The rear is pretty much the same. I have the footage but havent had a chance to edit it. You have to hold the Emergency brake down while you pull the key out to have it not engage. The Brembos come off the same as the front then the E brake is like a conventional brake it has slider pins and you just pull it off and push it in like a standard piston caliper. Then you just reset it after reinstalling everything. I’ll try and get the footage together.

Very helpful video. Having trouble finding one for the rear brakes- any suggestions for guides as I’m a novice when working under the hood. Also how do I confirm I have a Brembo setup on my ’03 STR. Mine looks like I have the same setup as yours but was Brembo the standard for all 03’s?

I got them from brakeperformance . com. They are really good with customer service. I called after ordering and asked them about 20 times if they were the correct size. They are centric rotors that they cross drill and slot in house. So they sell any variation you want. I got the black coated slotted and crossed drilled and they were I believe 450-500 for all 4. Hope this helps and check out jaguarforums . com. There is some good info there.

Thanks for the great videos. I noticed you replaced your rotors, and you seem to have an ’05 STR with Brembo brakes like mine. Do you mind if I ask where you found rotors for this car, and for roughly how much? Many aftermarket parts place list rotors for the 05 “R”…but they are usually incorrect. I was told the cheapest they could be had was $600/pair, but even then I couldn’t find where to order from. Thanks in advance! I hope a supercharger oil replacement video is in the pipeline. 🙂

I dont believe I covered it in the video but before installing your new rotor you are gonna want to spray it down with some brake parts cleaner to get any sort of coating off that was applied for storage and shipping purposes so make sure you do this before installing the rotor.
