Hello there. Thank you first for this video. I was searching for this cam position sensor issue and I came across this. So I have a jaguar 3litre v6 diesel 2013. My car has run about 97,000kms as on today. Am from India. And just yesterday my jaguar service mechanic says the car starts And then goes some distance and then it stops while running and then after a while try to start it doesnt start later after repeated try it starts and then car moves a small distance and stops while running and the mechanic at jaguar service says my cam position sensor has to be replaced and to fix this they have to remove the gear box and while removing this to access the sensor many other parts has to be replaced. I do not know exactly where is this sensor placed for my jaguar model. Could you please help me guide on this? Because the mechanic says I have to pay about 2000$ dollars almost to fix it. And i am not sure if its the cam position sensor which is gone or is it some other issue here. Which is worrying me. In need of help soon. Thank you in advance. Cheers.
I have a 2011 Jaguar XF 5.0…. when I cold start it idles up as normal but then when the idle down I hear a knocking sound for about 5 mins then it goes away as long as the engine is running…. when I turn it off go in a store and come back out… sometimes it knocks on start up sometimes it doesn't….any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

is bank 2 sensor A the sensor on closest to the middele of the care (intake i assume) or the sensor farther from the cetner of the car?

And are the cam sensors interchangeable ?
What codes were you gettin?
What issues does the crankshaft sensor give you when bad?
