this is what i do if you have no one to check your brake light get sumthing
heavy a brick or a rock put it right on the break peddles thats how you can
check it by urself

If you don’t have a friend you could try parking the car in font of a
window or some reflective surface, and see if you can see the brake light
in the reflection.

to record the back of the car

wall, angle it so you can see the lights from the drivers seat. Option 2:
Place a heavy brick or rock on the break peddle, walk to the back and check
your lights. Option 3: Work at night so you can see the ambient glow from
your lights.

@pat1981lux If you car has a remote to unlock or lock the car. Then, just
go behind it and press the lock button a few times or unlock and then lock,
etc. Most of the time, the brake lights go on a for a second notifying you
that you pressed the button(s) or if it’s locked, etc. That’s what I do to
check.

Not all bulbs twist to connect like that, but close enough. I always put
dielectric grease on the connections to slow down any kind of corrosion
that may take place. It’s probably not absolutely necessary, but worth it
to me.
