s0medudeonline says:

anyone else think that these demonstrations should demonstrate the hell of
not having a lift?

USNVA says:

Judging by all the comments it will be easier and less messy to take it to
some shop. Who could I trust not to scam me? My dealership? Goodyear? Pep
Boys? Who out there is trustworthy?

lee Zamanyan says:

I’ve got a problem with my radiator coolant. It seems like there’s mould or
oil in the radiator coolant. What do I have to do? Any feedback would be
much appreciated. Thank you

Question: When you re-fill the radiator with water and run the car to get
the thermostat to open up that will mix it all together and get more
coolant to the radiator to be drained out. However, that still leaves
something a large portion of water mixed with I’m guessing less coolant
around the engine and in the heater core right? So wouldn’t properly mixing
your coolant to 50/50 be pointless because in the car the proportion will
actually be way off? Probably 75 water / 25 coolant? Is there a way to
drain the coolant from the engine and heater core? I know that I could
drain the heater core by detaching the hose under the dash but…….FUCK
THAT. Is there a better way or do I just have to settle with the way to do
it in the video?

Zapcode Knock says:

after all is done then you can do work on other areas of the car :D

Fuck cars

Joel says:

I need to pee

Tom McBride says:

This isn’t a flush, it’s a replacement. A flush is when you add chemicals
to the system to clean it out. Those of which will be dumped out. a flush
is a 5 step processes. Drain, fill with detergent/cooland, run for 30mins
or so (depends on the age of the car), drain, fill with new coolant.

1kings1918 says:

Step 1, put your vehicle up on a lift….

Zapcode Knock says:

yes, you should bleed the air out of the system when doing these jobs, and
yes u can run it with straight water after u drain and then re-plug then
drain an then 50/50 water/coolant is fine .. if u have really old car an
rust issues use a chemical flush with a coolant flushing product which
you’ll pay more money for then the water gallon(s), make sure your levels
are correct and be careful, and smart about the recycling part of the used
fluid aswell

fusionstar916 says:

So volvo decided not to put a drain cock on that radiator? The Fuck..?

TIKIMAN198 says:

And after the coolant is flushed they get to repair the transmission and
fix 50 electrical problems since it’s a VW. Heh. Piece of SHIT!

Marvin Strong says:

My car started overheating. So i flushed the radiator and put in new
coolant then 3 days later the heat in the car stopped working. What should
i do?

Patrick Boccio says:

So ive changed my water pump thermostat and replaced the radiator cap.my
car still seems to over head yet my coolant is at the proper levels in the
coolant tank. Any solutions?

Jas George says:

Hey helpful video! The only thing I’m unsure of is people in comments
saying you have to bleed/burp the coolant system or it will over heat or
idle funny, what’s the deal with that, is it required or not?

BamitZzU says:

He missed out a few points!

armzy gm says:

does the radiator need bleeding?

madjimms says:

“run the engine to open the thermostat”

OR just turn your heater on….. Oh and you didn’t bleed the system.

Brian Sprecher says:

Thanks guy. Just finished an 01 chevy blazer. Saved me a ton of money!

dungeonlair says:

Isn’t it important to bleed your coolant system of air after such a
procedure?

bill blyth says:

awesome thanks

Renier Wijnen says:

Great video for beginners! But what I was wondering about is whether or not
I should add coolant directly into the radiator through the shiny cap as
well?

MATTndE says:

what type of car do u have marvin ? and those goofy clips don’t need to
come off just pull up and the hose is free no need to remove them man!!

itruck2009 says:

I told the wife I wouldn’t be able to do it because I don’t own a lift :)

Thakiid101 says:

I hate when these videos make it a bigger point to tell me to recycle my
coolant than actually explain the work process thoroughly

TheTruelakersfan says:

Don’t forget to bleed the coolant! I hate when they don’t mention this!on
Hondas if u don’t u get a idle that’s starts to fluctuate up and dine like
crazy
