This is one of the best guides on how to chip tune. It’s far better method
than OBD2 galleto mpps kwp2000 interface flashing, when 70% of the time it
doesn’t work. If you are going boot mode on a bench, you might as well save
yourself the hassle and just desolder the chip like in this video. Plenty
of people still out there that sell ready mapped chips, just buy them and
solder them back on. Or of course if you have the .bin data you can just
flash it yourself with a williem programmer and PSOP44 to DIP 44 Pin socket
