these izuzus don’t have lifters its a bucket and shim design motor. I have
a 2001 rodeo with same issue started when it got low on oil once and hasn’t
gone away but iv drove it about 500 miles with the knocking. something is
definetly broken inside of the motor and I must say these things are beast!
id suggest buying another motor. make sure its a izuzu motor not a Honda.
iv heard people have problems with the passport and American made is always
a plus!
did you manage to find out what the problem was?
