Serpentine Belt Replacement – INFINITI G35 🔧 NISSAN 350z

Serpentine Belt Replacement – INFINITI G35 🔧 NISSAN 350z

A worn serpentine belt will usually cause noises, squeaking, squealing or chirping-sounds, which is the warning to have it looked at. Once the belt breaks, the engine will not function properly. The car will not be able to be driven. If the engine is allowed to run without a working drive belt, it could overheat because the water pump will not be able to circulate antifreeze through the radiator.

How to remove serpentine belt. Serpentine belt location, inspection, removal and repair.

$25 for both: Serpentine Belt PK060465 and Belt PK040372

EscapePlan Skateboarding says:

Hey man, have you made a video on how to properly/safely jack up the G35 and where to place jack stands, etc?

StalkinUr Buds says:

Do both nuts take a 12mm socket?

Duane Collings says:

I know this video is old but it was a huge help!! Thank you!!! Belts went on great because of this. Cheers!

Stanny1 says:

You have it backwards. Loosen the center of pulley nut slightly. That loosens the adjuster. Then go CCW on the adjuster nut to loosen the belt. Install the belt and then go CWE on the adjuster nut to tighten. When the proper tension is reached, tighten the pulley nut.

Hector Gomez says:

How much is 25 pond feet of torque . How do I know how much pressure to apply?

Hu5hhh says:

just bought a used g35 4 days ago and unfortunately i noticed the belts were cracking just like yours and this video helped me understand how to fix it and it was my first time i fully worked on my car on my own

Paul Rosemond says:

Recently bought an 04 G35 and will be doing this. Thank you for this video.

ADRObizo says:

I did my A/C belt today, the last belt had shredded It worked flawlessly. Just FYI the part numbers have changed on these from autozone, I only bought the AC Belt which is Continental 4040372 — 4PK0945

gonad ballcrusher says:

Nice. I'm going to take this job on. My ac belt is cracked like yours and screams on cold mornings.

ZekeMagnum says:

Noticed that my AC belt was just as worn as yours. Thanks for video!

Ren Vargas says:

I tried changing mu belts with the same part number and they don’t fit at all lmao.

seas garage says:

"And then remove your under tray" i think your the only one that still has stock undertray lol. Your whole engine bay area, top and bottom, is cleaner than any I've seen. Nice vid, needed this.

Iamadviix3 says:

Whata the size of the idler pulley screw ?

Stealth G35 Infiniti says:

This Video saved me unnecessary expenses thinking I needed new idle pulleys…The deflection by your notes shows a deflection that in seens tighter then most common cars…Well following your book specs, no more belt squeal…Thank You for your excellent G35 DIY videos.

A G says:

its easier to install belts with the idler pulley last and easier to remove belts with idle pulley first instead.

Kalashster says:

Hello dear author,
love your videos!
I own G35 coupe for around 7 years.
Have changed pulleys 6 years ago.
1 week ago, something has started to prevent cranking the engine: 1st day it was one more additional slow rotation of a starter, then it required a little more and more everyday.
Yesterday, starter rotated too slowly, exact symptom as if battery is dead (but its new!) – all electronics turn off at that moment. I brought a new battery to check, but the result is the same – alternator stuck after 0.5 rotation and my aftermarket onboard multimeter showed zero voltage while cranking (because it's minimum is 5V), but was back to 12.6V after released key.
Can you advice, what to check next?
Thanks in advance!

RzVids says:

Wait what? the water pump is timing belt driven not serpentine belt driven.
At least on the G37

tasimota says:

How is Phoenix in the summer time?

A G says:

Will both of these belts work on an 04 350z? I had both belts in my cart but just realized this question.

Where do you put the tape measure? Is it in the pulley?

How would I know if my Pulleys are bad?
