Yes, you will have to add some more oil to your system. The exact amount of oil is different for each car, so we recommend filling your car up just like you would when changing your oil. Add some oil and check the dip stick, if it needs more, add accordingly. The pricing on our website is MSRP, so feel free to check with our distributors for even more competitive pricing. Keep in mind that you are paying for a high quality part that comes with a lifetime warranty as well. 🙂

don’t you have to add extra oil to account for the airspace now created by the cooler piping , cooler its self, and new filter . id guess 2 quarts almost ? and wth is with the cost of those banjo fittings( that are pretty much required because of the side outlet that ends up an some random direction ???)…but then $80 for 2 fittings to go into a $130 adapter plate ???? awesome plate by the way . im looking into one. but the cost of those fittings kills it for me . maybe im off?

I have a 350z and I want you guy add that oil cooling to my car. Where is your location?

MishiM0T0 says:

Hi – Thread tape is used to prevent any potential leaks from the ports. The tape provides assurance of a tight leak free seal. Thanks -Brian

mikey jiles says:

why did you use the thread or pipe tape?

MishiM0T0 says:

Oil coolers will help lower engine oil temperatures which in turn lead to greater engine longevity and reliability. This is especially important in vehicles driven hard on the street or track where high temperatures can become an issue and limp mode can be triggered. Thanks -Brian
