you know oil panel filters are bad for ur engine for long term use

Kerry Garrison says:

It is a Stillen Z Tube

ghostsneek says:

Not a real z tube. Z tube has a bracket that connects(bolt on) to engine, upper plenum spacer. Looks good though!

Kerry Garrison says:

No, no affect on smog at all

Dalip Rai says:

Will this affect smog levels at all?

Kerry Garrison says:

Bought it at Stillen

Brittany Fox says:

were did you get the z tube from

Kerry Garrison says:

Keep in mind that any horsepower gains from any bolt-on are almost always only going to appear at different RPMs and manufacturer claims are either flat out guesses or the result of a specific tune afterwards. K&N claims up to 10hp for their filter and Stillen says 5-8hp for a Z Tube, but that does not mean you gain 18hp throughout the entire range of your engine. If you read the associated article, I talk about how the upgrade actually feels when driving.

furqanrauf says:

Did you run a dyno afterwards? I dont think that you can gain 12hp just like that.

Kerry Garrison says:

LOL, Its a a 10 year old car but its still going to be a fun project vehicle to work on.
